BTW: There's a slight FMG scene much later in the series, but we'll get to Miss Doublefinger another time.
(Heh..and this is me wishing we could have a Shulkie pic of her dressed up like Miss Monday)
Miss Doublefinger is definitely more feminine looking in the manga. Can't wait to see the episode of her.

And at the rate 4Kids is ruining One Piece (no Little Garden, those jerks! I want some Elbaf giant action!), we should be getting to Alabastar sooner than any of us think.

Heh, a lot of anime is infamous at, um, blurring gender lines. if you've seen the Project A-ko anime (the 86-minute movie, not the series), one of the running gags is that every single character in that movie is female. A-ko, B-ko, and C-ko, the main characters, are all female (despite being a love triangle). The gargantuanly butch school bully? Female, with a ludicrously cutesy voice. The alien minions sent to retrieve C-ko? Female. The alien ship commander who speaks with a male voice? Female!

Please let's not forget Kinsyo, albeit his homepage has not been updated lately, he has a quite sizable gallery of anime style muscle girls. Also, AFAIK he do works in the manga business, he even published a short manga with muscular females in a tankoubon (telephone sized publication) called Amazones 2. Sadly it was a hentai manga and it looks like sales do not guarantee further installments 🙁

I've actually seen Project A-Ko once…very funny/crazy movie. (though I hear the original intent was pure yuri, so I think I'm happy it turned into an insane sci-fi/comedy/high school romp!) I do remember that they did have at least one masculine muscle woman in that series…but of course, the super-strong A-Ko (whom somehow was the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman) was slim, cute and powerful. I guess that's the running gag of a lot of these types of things: we can make females super strong, but we can't give them muscle or they'll become men. But that's what we're here for.
