ParticipantDoes anyone here know about Barb Guerra?
I got introduced to her when a friend from Deviantart noted me with these links.

http://www.hardfitness.com/competitions/europashow2005/npcfitness/barbguerra/routine/index.htmlEven though she is an amputee(by which most people are shocked and depressed; I don't see why. Some can still do able-bodied things)…I think she is a unique weightlifter/fitness/figure athlete.
In fact, seeing those links inspired to draw this:
Anyone else wanna discuss Barb Guerra?

ParticipantWOW that's awesome. I have great admiration for anyone who can go through something like that and come out swinging.

KeymasterI don't think she's an amputee.

Participant"Amputee" means that a limb was removed surgically. I think Lingster is saying that she was born without arms.

You sure? I keep hearing that she lost them in an accident or something… ??? I dunno… :-

ParticipantDefinately looks like she was in an accident, look at her left leg.
While I have enormous respect for her overcoming the obstacles, the black hearted comic in me can't help but find it somewhat… funny that a person with missing arms is posing in a fitness competition.
That's not to say I'm judging her in any way, I just mean… it's like when people gave Christopher Reeve a standing ovation.
But good for her. Competing is hard enough, let alone with that kind of disability. She's got more willpower than I do, I'm sure.

fasolaParticipantfett due, that's black, really black. But yes, she is an amazing example of perceverance and comitment, and shows that almost anything can be achieved.

I'm pretty sure she is. She's got surgical scars at her shoulders.
That said, I've got a lot of respect for her and her accomplishments. That, and she's also really gorgeous, to boot!
