Those two pages from No. 1 are my favorite depictions of Barda (so far, from what few I've seen).

I think BB has never gotten the respect she deserved, not even here. Remember, she was the original badass big girl, strong, aggresive, openly sexual (that tiny red bikini – the memories it brings back…). That gal looked like she could kick your ass, and then take you on the joyride of a life time. Definetly one of The King's finest creations. Too bad she was never used to her full potential – in the brave new world she helped usher in, she was just another strong girl; I always thought that her military background could have been used to much greater effect.

Her finest hour, I always thought, was in a John Byrne team-up with Superman (Action 592), where the two made porn movies (!) for an Apokolips creep-in-exile. She looked great in that book – perhaps the last good art by Byrne.
