Hello everyone just wanted to know if any of you guy got bioshock and what was your opinion on it. I just beat it today and it was probably one of the best games I've played so far this year. Had a really neat story and overall it was just a fun game to play.
August 26, 2007 at 3:10 am #58786LuParticipantI don't have it, but my bro does and he's pretty much not been off it since he got it. So I guess it's good. Well I had a look at it, and it does sound good.

August 26, 2007 at 10:02 am #58789fm07ParticipantBeh. Too late. I played the demo (it was really good btw), and now my PC has SecuRom in the registry even though I uninstalled it. Ah well, live and learn.
August 26, 2007 at 10:35 am #58790ChuckParticipantMother of God… how do you create a classic and then frak it all up by having such a lame-brained idea at protecting it from copyright pirates? It's crazy!
But before this turns into a WTF were they thinking??? thread, I would like to say that I still intend to go out there and play the 360 version at least. I knew my computer couldn't run the PC version anyway, so at least that excuse shielded me from a pretty awful anti-pirating idea.

Wow, thanks for the info Mr.Matthews, I was planning on buying this later in the week….never mind.

Thanks for the warning, DCM. And for saving my money, and making the 10th Commandment easier to obey.

… Not to mention that it will save you some time so you will post new stories for our selfish benefit…
So there are some positive aspects after all! ;D
August 27, 2007 at 1:09 am #58794Silent OneParticipantI rented it the other day (for my Xbox 360) and despite drooling over the pre release hype for months and having loved the System Shock games (to which BioShock is only a spiritual succesor, the stories are completely unconnected.) I got bored with it quickly and actually returned it early. I got fairly far in, about 6 or 7 levels and something about the game just turned me off. It did a lof of things amazingly well and by all rights I should have played it for five days straight with little to no sleep like I do with every new release I get my hands on but it just didn't do it for me. I'll probably try it again when I get some days off and see if my opinion changes any.
