Hello everyone.
As you noticed the topic is once again Brawna. I know there are already topics about the sites return, but this one is a bit different. I want to try and launch Brawna 2.0.
A little bit about me:
Most of you might not know me, but I’m the guy behind ImprovementInc on deviantArt. I’ve been a long time fan and reader on Brawna and miss the site quite a lot. And since I just learned how to program PHP and SQL for websites, I thought to myself that I would like to try my new skills on a project. And Brawna came to mind.I already sent Lingster a message of my idea and if he would be fine with me attempting this, but haven’t received an answer yet. So I decided to start a thread and get the opinions of you other guys. I have made myself some notes on what I would like to improve and add compared to the original. But I also would like some input what you would like to have and what you missed back then.
Things that are on my mind as for now:
- More Tags to mark a story with
- A search engine for titles, tags and authors
- A user system for everyone that enables story rating, commentating,…
- An extended story rating system that not only focuses on the overall rating but on several more aspects like how well the story is written and the like
- An author rating system
More to come. I’ll try to update this list as we go. Input is VERY welcome and appreciated. As it will not only give me a challenge but also improve everyone’s experience in the end.

:cheer: Thanks a lot. I guess this topic means something to some of you then.

Thanks. 🙂 Yes I totally agree with you. Brawna filled somewhat of a blank space. While there is still Diana’s around, the navigation there is horrible. Not even speaking about the effort of searching for a specific story in the misc bookshelves.
I talked to MagnusMagneto and SSW on dA and both expressed their interest in my idea as well.Like I said in the beginning post: Ideas and suggestions are VERY welcome. Process of building it will be slow but I’ll try to keep you all updated. And at some point, I’ll need beta testers. 😛

I can’t promise to be more of a regular contributor than I was to the previous iteration of Brawna- my work environment makes it unlikely that I’ll be able to do much of any sort of FMG/amazon-fetish-based story there, and I’m rarely motivated to write in that style when I’m at home- but I will at least repost all of my old stories and any new things that feel like they’d be an appropriate match.
If it’s not too ambitious and/or too forward, there are a couple things I’d like to see supported in the new version. The first thing is something that the old version had, which I felt made the site navigation much easier than any of the comparable sites that cater to the amazon/FMG fetish: categories. Having categories that allow browsers to search for material based on the size, strength, style, etc. of the amazon, as well as the content of the story made the general pleasurableness (is that a word? If it ain’t, it oughtta be) of exploring the site pretty unique. I can’t begin to count the number of times I found stories that I’d never heard of simply because I had a general theme in mind…
The other thing I would like to see would be in-story graphics and video support, similar to what we have here on Amaz0ns- I’ve begun rereleasing my Sylph stories, and one of the things I’ve really enjoyed doing is making pictures to go with them; having the option to include a picture with each story or, if the artist has the skills, even a video, could make for some really great submissions.
Thanks for listening, and thanks for working to get this going!

As the person behind the redevelopment of SWM, I can say that you will need to budget at least 2 months full time in the redevelopment. I would look at existing software rather than coding something new, I went with Joomla as the CMS and added all the features that I felt was needed to make the site fully functional, looking at the compressed file of stories that’s floating about, the stories will need a LOT of work to make it work you want them to be searchable so authors need adding along with tags, that will take a lot of time.
I’m happy to offer any advice, just let me know

December 1, 2016 at 9:18 am #132876sdsjParticipantCould stories support images or would that be too bandwith intensive?
December 1, 2016 at 5:31 pm #132877fatsParticipantImages do take up bandwidth, but nowaday’s that’s not a big problem as most hosting packages offer large bandwidth allocations or unlimited, unlimited normally limits you in some other way, e.g processing power or consecutive number of people allowed on the site at any one time but for a story site you should not hit the limits, that normally comes if you add forums and other site features.

December 1, 2016 at 11:02 pm #132884BenjaminParticipantI would absolutely love that. I used to browse Brawna just about every single day.
Don’t get your hopes up, though. We’ve been waiting for Brawna’s return almost a literal year now with there having been, like, one or two updates along the way? I would be legitimately surprised if Lingster were to even react in any way. Happy, but surprised. -
