Well we won’t get around ads sooner or later. I’m currently having some free space where I can host Brawna 2.0 from as long as it’s in development. But once done, I would prefer a professional hoster as well as a domain. Who knows, maybe Lingster will hand us over the Brawna.org domain. But one way or an other, I would like to cover my expenses for hosting and the domain via ads for example. Of course an agreement could be made with disabling ads once the monthly expenses are covered. Via ads or donations….
I’m not really worried about seeing some ads; that’s a reality of the world, these days. I would, however, like to avoid, for example, the hardcore
”xxx-cock-sucking-teenage-girl-on-daddy’s-big-xxx”
stuff that used to show up on yahoo masquerading as messages or files. If we could avoid that crap, I’d be grateful, because I can think of few ways to kill a new site faster.

5 stars has it’s advantage in forcing you to decide if a story is really 2 or 3 stars. I don’t really prefer it, I just feel it’s good to understand why it’s a popular rating method.
I think would recommend an overall rating, and then sub ratings that are totally optional if someone wants to put in the effort in to say more with a rating.
Hope this helps!
December 15, 2016 at 3:17 am #133040PhoenixParticipantStatus Update:
- Registration and Login scripts written and working. Although login does nothing so far but to check if user name and password match.
- Added an extra Page for the story tags which have been used on the original Brawna. Discussions about which other tags you guys would like can be made here on Amaz0ns or on the page directly.
Next steps:
- Making sure your browser remembers when you are logged in
- Story submission, including tags
- Search engine
- Fine tuning and creating a more pleasant look to the eye 😛
You can find Brawna 2.0 >>>here<<<
December 15, 2016 at 7:37 pm #133049CDRParticipantAwesome! Already registered.
Suggestion: The tags for activities and transformation should be done in ticks format in my opinion.
Most stories are bound to feature more than a few of those options at the same time.
Good luck with this and keep us posted please!December 15, 2016 at 11:33 pm #133051PhoenixParticipantAwesome! Already registered.

Good luck with this and keep us posted please! Wohooo we got some registrations going on. Finally there is a feeling that something is about to become alive. The registrations will (most likely) only last until Brawna can be considered complete and then I’ll clear everything just for safety reasons. But as long as we are under development and addind new stuff, I’m VERY thankful for any help. That being said: You just gave me a “OMG, WHY DIDN’T I THINK ABOUT THIS?!” -moment. Never really came up to me to order the tags as ticks. For some, like activities, transformations this is a great idea! I’m unsure if we should offer this for all of them though. Languages obiously need only one selection and for the others, it’s mostly about pointing out the upper max the story will contain. Thanks nontheless! Opinions?
Spread the word! More updates are to be expected!
December 16, 2016 at 10:26 am #133060FlakBaitKeymasterSo speaking as de facto admin for Amaz0ns, I can not overstate the importance of SPAM protection, both registration and regular checks of the users email addresses. This site has gone through periods where it’s slammed with bots and god knows what else hitting us multiple times in only a minute and its a big drag on the site. Comment policing can be a problem too, I know this might be hard to believe but people on the internet can be mean….no seriously…. Just be sure you know what you’re getting in to, it’s not all web site design and content, you also need to factor in maintenance and community management. So be sure when you’re ready to start it you at least have a couple people you can trust to handle things properly because while comments and members can cause problems anyone that’s been a member of any internet forum can tell you nothing kills a site faster then bad moderators.
Just something I haven’t seen anyone else mention yet.

Thanks for the wakeup-call.
At the current state of the project, I’m not as worried regarding spamming as there isn’t much of an importance on files and databases. I have backups. But the future security is indeed a concern of mine. And regarding peoples….’manners’ online, that’s no surprise to me either. We will see. I’m still fairly new to this but you learn from this stuff eventually and that’s what I’m looking for. Because this project is only means to a bigger one I want to attempt at some point. Although this doesn’t mean I’m not trying my best here. Overall, that’s why I would like people to try and test what I coded till now so we realize problems as early as possible.
At the moment, I have noone at hand that I know enough (and trust, as those go often hand in hand) to monitor Brawna 2.0 at a given point. And after all, this isn’t like a forum where you have to have your eyes everywhere. I don’t know how Brawna worked back in the days, but it seemed fairly fine to me. Because, after all, what much is there? Posting stories, searching for them, commenting and rating. That’s it. The only things that could come up in my mind are offensive stories or comments. And for them, I plan on adding a report system.December 24, 2016 at 3:53 pm #133150PhoenixParticipantFirst and foremost:
Merry Christmas to all of you! And, if we aren’t talking any more till then, have a happy new year as well!
Over the last weeks I’ve been tinkering around here and there and, even though thode things don’t matter as much at the current state, I would like to address them anyways.
1. Namegiving
I have been calling my project “Brawna 2.0” because of simplicity and the lack of imagination. And I guess once my project is complete, we would revert to plain “Brawna” simply because people know the name and what’s behind it. So unless Lingster suddenly pulls out a christmas surprise, I guess we will stick to it? Opinions? Ideas?2. Domain
So the original domain “brawna.org” still belongs to Lingster, I assume. And as long as noone can get in contact with him or something like this and get the domain from him, we will have to get a new one. I did some research and the brawna.net domain is available which I would aim for most likely. (Again, as long as we stick to the name) Others like .de are available as well but that would be a bit odd I guess. 😀3. Logo
I’m not the most creative guy on the planet and if someone would like to contribute and design a logo for the site, I’d highly appreciate it. 🙂 The more options we have, the better. And since I see this project as not just mine, but a community project, I would propably start a poll on which one to use.Talk to you soon and happy holidays!
December 26, 2016 at 8:03 pm #133172Lord KelvinParticipantGreat contributions for a great idea.
We all have spent time on Brawna and it wourld be great to have a new form back online.
I’d be happy to contribute. I don’t write stories (at least not in english) but I draw sometimes at my humble level.
I may contribute at least to propose stuffJanuary 19, 2017 at 3:36 am #133476PhoenixParticipant*push*
Hey folks, still alive? I know I have been, but it has grown a bit quiet around this thread here, which caused some doubts rising inside me if people are actually interested in the project. Maybe I’m wrong. Just checking, though.
I made an attempt recently to spread awareness of this project on saradas.org, which resulted in a deleted post and a ban of my account. The people over there don’t like words like amaz0ns or brawna apparently. Still, I would appreciate if you could spread the word!
Thanks!
