AlexGKeymasterLived his life. He is narcissistic probably to a degree requiring clinical intervention. For example, few people are aware that Carter came to the fore in Georgia politics as a reactionary segregationist (i.e. opposed to integration of, and equality between, whites and blacks). He was elected to the governorship of Georgia by defeating two anti-segregationists.
Literally within hours of rising to the top of Georgia politics, Carter publicly reversed his segregationist beliefs in order to position himself to run for president. So I doubt that Jimmy Carter believes in much more than Jimmy Carter, and he has spent the last 27 years attempting to get revenge on the people of the United States for throwing him out of office when he ran for a second term.
To get even with the U.S., he goes around giving aid and comfort to every anti-American dictator he can find.
Carter needs flattery the way you or I need oxygen.
You forgot to mention the fact (and one of his biggest crimes, IMHO) that by his not supporting our loyal ally, the Shah of Iran, he's solely responsible for unleashing the Islamofascist genie onto the world.

Well, that's an example of his colossally poor judgment and incompetence. I was assailing his despicableness in terms of moral worth.

ParticipantCarter was a wishy-washy President at best as made evident by his handling of the Iranian hostage situation which was harvested by himself as was mentioned earlier. Hell, it took the election of Reagan to get the hostages released because the Iranians knew that ole Ronnie would've wiped them off the map (probably). 😛
He is doing far worse damage to the country now than he ever did as President (once again as mentioned prior).

ParticipantI am usually not one to post anything negative but …
Alfred Nobel was certainly no saint but he would be quite saddened to discover that a profiteering fear-mongerer would even be considered for the Peace Prize.
Mr. Gore has consistently shown himself to be little more than the poster boy for hypocrisy, the dark side of political correctness, and the self-congratulatory "elite".
His deceptive tactics are nothing but purposefully misleading and divisive; and as such he proves himself to be quite the opposite of peaceful.Tschuss!
