i was watching “Hanaukyo Maid tai “anime
i Like the other anime ” Hanaukyo maid service” version which is funnier and the characters are more fleshed out.
I was never really a fan of remakes &/or update of cartoons (90’s speed racer anyone) because they always change it and not for the better. But would love see more wacky racers, and possibly updated, and maybe space ghost with Jan getting the power bands
what would like to see.April 21, 2010 at 11:07 pm #91789David C. MatthewsParticipant*scribbles in notebook* “picture idea: Space Ghost and Jace laying across pile of steaming rubble, unconscious or near so, costumes scorched and tattered. In front of them stands Jan, placing herself between her loved ones and their attacker, wielding the power bands she’s taken off SG’s wrists, blasting away at still-unseen enemy (whose shadow is being cast over her?)”
IT! COULD! WORK!! Thanks, Ashlee… 😉

No Blip?
really I’m glad i inspired you 🙂April 21, 2010 at 11:49 pm #91792SammiChungParticipantwell I always wanted a more updated version of Popeye, yeah they did it in the eighties but still ‘held’ back, I also wouldn’t mind seeing an update that works of Mighty Mouse, Paula Pureheart becoming a superpowered mouse would be awesome inmho.

Your right ,i would love to see Popeye redone in the 30-50s style with April as a nemisis
for Olive
Olive in the army and Popeye & son were aweful
underdog would be fun if done rightApril 22, 2010 at 10:58 am #91799SammiChungParticipantok how about Roger Ramjet and Moose and Squirrel? Bullwinkle and Rocky* I loved them even if they were reruns of reruns of reruns…by the time I saw them.
April 22, 2010 at 8:00 pm #9180910-4ParticipantAn updated George of the Jungle would be nice. Keep the theme song, and silliness… Plenty of opportunity for a Jane of the Jungle character to make frequent guest appearances. 😉
And sure enough when I go looking for the theme music I find this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikK6e3y1b9I
April 23, 2010 at 2:27 am #91824Zespara AlatharParticipantMyself, I’d love to see an all-new Adventures of Sinbad, Jr. With that magic belt of his that grants him strength and size, it would be the perfect plot device for many an FMG transformation! 🙂
David, I believe that somebody already wrote a story about Jan getting the power bands of Space Ghost on DA (DrMuttonChops?).
Of course, a renewal of Popeye would be good if they had the quality of animation like they did in the later 40s/50s with Olive getting her share of the spinach.
George of the Jungle (2nd version) did have an episode with the redheaded girl getting huge muscles from some sort of special mud when she wanted a shortcut to getting fit.
Others I wouldn’t seeing remakes of would be the other Hanna-Barbara short cartoons like Young Samson and Mighty Mightor! They also have power transformation devices (bracelets and club respectively). As with Sinbad Jr., there would be plenty of room for more FMG.

You serious? I didn’t know that.
April 23, 2010 at 8:25 am #91832Robert McNayParticipantThere are so many cartoons I’d love to see more of, but they were so long ago, the brains and humor behind them are long retired or passed away. I just haven’t seen any current talent that could do them. So many of the current people seem to feel the need to resort to gross-out, frat-boy type humor.
Some of of the ones I’d like to see:
(pardon me while I let my age show  )
Tom Slick
Superchicken
Roger Ramjet
Danger Mouse
Secret Squirrel
Fractured Fairy Tales
Pink Panther (including the Ant & Aardvark segments)
Rocky & BullwinkleYou can tell my tastes in Saturday moring fare ran towards the more subversive.
