Wow, Rocky and Bullwinkle were awesome. I’d be late for school all the time watching those reruns. Didn’t they show a skit(-type thing) called Aesop and Son, too?

Don’t bother looking it up. It was like that Dave the Barbarian episode, only it just went straight to the hulking Cro-Magnon part.

George of the Jungle (2nd version) did have an episode with the redheaded girl getting huge muscles from some sort of special mud when she wanted a shortcut to getting fit.

You serious? I didn’t know that.

Yeah, it’s just like MGN said. Huge, neanderthal type. Here’s the official listing of the episode:

    Season 1, Episode 13 – Aired: 8/7/2007
    George Skips Breakfast/Muscle Mania

Muscle Mania – Magnolia desires to become stronger but after bathing in a muscle mutation agent, she transforms into a much larger brute.

There are so many cartoons I’d love to see more of, but they were so long ago, the brains and humor behind them are long retired or passed away. I just haven’t seen any current talent that could do them. So many of the current people seem to feel the need to resort to gross-out, frat-boy type humor.

Some of of the ones I’d like to see:

(pardon me while I let my age show  )

    Tom Slick
    Superchicken
    Roger Ramjet
    Danger Mouse
    Secret Squirrel
    Fractured Fairy Tales
Pink Panther (including the Ant & Aardvark segments)
    Rocky & Bullwinkle

You can tell my tastes in Saturday moring fare ran towards the more subversive.

Good list, I’d agree with the subversive aspect.

    Tho you forgot:

    Cool McCool
    Adventures of Gulliver
    HR Puffinstuff
The Banana Splits (Long before LOST there was Danger Island)

And an honorable mention goes to The Monkees 😉

Two more to add, though I think I’ve mentioned them before in the past.

    The Mysterious Cities of Gold
Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea

Interlinked story driven cartoons, probably why I so enjoyed the JL/JLU on CN B)

Wow this thread got the old noggin workin’!!!

Here are some choice favs I’d like to see redone:

    Danger Mouse (good call)
    David the Gnome
    Thundercats (movie coming out soon?)
Transformers (I know its been done to the ground, but a good cartoon (3D) with an overarching story line and character development with the original cast would be awesome. Not another “lets sell more toys cartoon” )

    He-Man or She-Ra?
    American written Digimon
    Flintstones
I also wouldn’t mind seeing a few Hanna-Barbara cartoons redone (bring back Droopy!!)
Some new Warner Brothers shorts would be cool to (no Mel though 🙁 )

I’ll probably think of more later 😉

How about an update on this cartoon with the blonde girl being a tad more fbbish and her beating up Olive in a variety of other Popeye type fights? This was the girl an earlier poster mentioned named April. This toon was actually from 1936. That is pretty risque for that era.

Here would be another great Popeye to update. It would be cool if the girl was just as strong, but sexier. I guess Popeye would not be running away then. A sexy huge hillbilly girl bullying Olive would be great. A modern strongwoman.
