AB: Eliza's too short (5'5"), and somehow she's not 'regal' enough, but if it got her into the gym, I'm all for it.

I'm not asking for a bodybuilder(although if you have one spare…), just that WW looks like a warrior, so fitness/athlete level muscle.

A non muscular Wonder Woman says to women that it's admirable to be strong, as long as you don't look it.

The femuscle fans want WW to be played by a body builder. We'll be lucky if the actress is as buff as Linda Hamilton in T2.
The titmen won't accept a WW who is smaller on top than Linda Carter. Unfortunately, their bosom besotted brains remember quite clearly that Linda Carter was the size of Pandora Peaks.
There are people who think she has to be tall and leggy. There are those who think she has to look exactly the way John Byrne, Mike Deodato Jr, Adam Hughes, or (insert name of comic book artist here) drew her. Some think the woman to play WW can only be the actress, singer, or internet bimbo who gets their motor running these days. Some want a young Linda Carter. Heck, I'll bet there are some who still want Linda Carter despite her age. Seen Sky High yet?
But Hollywood is making the WW movie, and what Hollywood wants WW to be is whatever it takes to get enough people in theater seats for the film to make an obscene amount of money. What the femuscle fans, the tit fans, the comic book fans (and I count myself as a member of all three groups), and the rest want doesn't count for much. There just aren't enough of us to affect the bottom line.
The best we can do is pray the flick doesn't suck; and hope that there will be something in it to hang our fantasies on. (Or "on which to hang our fantasies." if you didn't sleep through English class.)

Having said all that, let me throw out a really wild suggestion: Pam Anderson.
I know, I know! But suspend your disbelief for a moment and follow me. I remember reading once that Pam's muscles bulked up easily, so, believing her Baywatch character shouldn't be "muscular", she was careful to avoid exercise while shooting the show. So we throw her into an intense weight training program for six months before filming starts, and we get an amazonian body. Her boobs are already more than amazonian. Slap a black wig on her and, ba-da-boom, Wonder Woman.
What's that? Someone's asking about her height? Guys, this sweat-ex you've been going through about this or that actress's height is totally bogus. Hollywood has known ways to make a man and a woman look the right height compared to each other on screen since before movies could talk. and that's generations before they had the computer graphics technology to make Elijah Wood no taller than a hobbit.
The real question is does she have the acting ability to carry the role? To be honest, i don't know. Sure, she comes off like the ultimate blonde bimbo, but look at her. Blonde, sexy face, slim, boobs out to there. Maybe she's just giving the people what they expect from her appearance because it's an easy paycheck  Maybe she's laughing all the way to the bank.  Maybe, if challenged to do the part well, she could pull it off.
Not that there's a snowball's chance in hell of it happening.
But wouldn't you love to see the spit take if someone had the balls to suggest Pam to Joss Whedon?

I saw an episode of Charmed tonight, about a demon that tries to steal and open Pandora's box. The woman who played the demon, named Katya, was actress Michelle Hurd, who has apparently been on law and order. I can't find any pics of her on the net that actually show her, but I can tell you that judging from her appearance (and acting ability) on this show, she'd made a great amazon. Her abs were on display in pretty much every scene she was in, and were gorgeously tight. Personally, I think a buff, black (well, chocolate colored) Wonder Woman would rock.

That has to be one of the best arguments for casting Pam as WW I've ever heard.

If Jennifer Connolly were still built the way she was in The Rocketeer/Career Opportunities, she'd be perfect. Of course, she could start eating and fill out for the role. If she were cast, it would be the third comic book movie she was in. A trifecta!

The buzz around town is – following the probable success of the Superman franchise about to hit theaters next summer – they are looking in to doing either a Supergirl movie or having her in the next Superman.  Rumor is that Jamie King has been targeted to wear the cape…

Imagine if she hit the gym for a year prior?  Yum!

Well guys, the WW cast is something that has been on the buzz for quite sometime. I even heard that Monica Bellucci was already casted.  I have to stand with spicer, let's hope it doesn't suck at all, like many hero movies in the past have. As a femuscle fan, ofcourse I would love to see a muscular chic portrait the Princess, but let's face it, there aren't to many amazonian looking woman who can actually act, and portrait Diana as she deserves. (before a discussion starts, amazonian acording to the comic book, femuscle fan interpretation.)

Yates, that supergirl thing would rock, but if you take a look at the new Supergirl incarnation in the comic book, ther chances of a buff SG in a movie are less than any studio making a Great Lake Avengers movie.

    One can only dream…

Okay, SINCE rumor has it that WW will be killed off in the Infinite Crisis and Donna Troy will more than likely pick up the mantle…  I say they should approach a woman who should have every right to play her, the original WG from the CBS series, Dbra Winger. 😉

Though I originally started this thread, I've refrained from commenting until now.  IMHO, this is probably the single-most obstacle to overcome concerning this or any movie portrayal of a superheroine character of this exacting nature – even more so with one such as the She-Hulk where the physical requirements are even higher (no pun).  My own feelings are that live action interpretations just can't do justice (no pun) or be faithful to the ideal of what we're all looking for.  Therefore, its my long concidered opinion that only a full blown, high quality computer animated version will suffice – especially in the cases of femuscular transformations.  The visual portion then presents no problem for the Amazon of Themiscyra and you only have to cast the voices to fit the characters.

Of course, this is only a suggestion – but one that I think presents the most happy medium possible.

I'd like to see Morena Baccarin (Inara from Firefly) as Princess Diana.
