    Well, I can safely say that she has probably played her last soccer game.  But then, the way things are nowadays, she'll only get a slap on the wrist.

    Well, according what I just heard on WGN radio she's been suspended indefinitely.

    Hmmm, almost like the Leeds United team of the '70s (not that I know much about footie, but they were infamous).  I have to admit, my opinion is torn here, on the one hand she did play dirtily and that shouldn't go unpunished, but, on the other hand, I actually found it a little bit of a turn-on. :-[ :-

    It could have women's football and still be intolerable. Some people are defending her actions as being reactive but that's a poor excuse. This is a game not a personal feud. The referees should have been keeping a better eye on that.

    Men's Ice Hockey has had its share of dirty hockey players — remember Claude
    Lemiuex and Ulf Samueslon? The way hockey handles it is to allow teams to carry
    "enforcers" — big guys who's role is to protect their teamates from foul play by instigating
    fights with dirty players and beating the snot out of them.
    Maybe women's soccer should allow for their own version "enforcers" — maybe in the form
    of female bodybuilders? I think Lambert would have thought twice if she saw a strapping
    Lisa Aukland or Gina Davis lumbering towards her…
