Because what I meant was that witht heir damn budget, they could have at least done a better job than what they did, special effects wise.
Hell, even Buffy did stuff like this better than them.
I doubt they have even the budget of Buffy, and Buffy was run on a shoestring. There's a reason this turd is still in production – it doesn't cost much to produce.

Yes.
November 26, 2005 at 4:04 am #18044rastraParticipantone of the reasons im afraid to tell someone about it that i know..weither its cartoon,tv shows or sports theres always someone giving femuscarility a bad name. if you enjoy it then why fight it just because someone else thinks its weird. i even have a hard time telling a girlfriend about my thing for legs and feet cuz its not the normal way of i like big tities and big ass.dont get me wrong those are wonderful things for a woman to have but i look at her whole body: face, eyes, lips, hair, legs, feet, hands and lasty i will think about boobs or ass.

November 27, 2005 at 10:44 pm #18046Tara_CrossParticipantMaybe I overthough this. But I was a little upset that three fitness models are considered "hulking" by this shows producers. If they are going for a "holy crap! shes a beast!" factor for women with any kind of muscular development i can imagine how viewers of that show would look at me. Some people have chosen to look at this episode as ground breaking because theres a tiny degree of growth in it, but honestly i think it sets strong women back.

No, I don't think you overthought it, but hit the mark right on target. I still find it rather ironic that a girl-power program like Charmed that touts the concepts of tolerance and understanding about deviation from the social norm couldn't have handled it in a far more positive light.
By contrast, Stargate SG-1 treated the idea quite favorably with its two episodes involving Amazonian Jaffa (granted Jolene Blalock isn't a bodybuilder, but she was impressively toned in appearance) or (going back a ways here) in the case of Cleopatra 2525, one of the three principle characters was played by the buffed up Victoria Pratt before she shed the femuscle. And of course, how can anyone forget the recurring role of Atalanta as played by Cory Everson (when she still was Ms Olympia impressive) in the Hercules series. 😎

Ah yes, Atalanta… The Cory Everson character that always did it for me was the Blacksmith Sisters (with her sister Cameo being the second half) in the Old West Amazon (well, women only) village in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

_M.December 7, 2005 at 12:59 am #16483The Muffin manParticipantYeah, how dare they do an episode like this and not tailor it specifically for the enjoyment of the FMG community!
Hey. this is my shtick. 😉
