ParticipantYou can come across the oddest things on the Internet. I followed an image link to imageshack and in a suggested image below was a very attractive well muscled woman…

I was not really familiar with the Jodi Arias trial. Frankly I don’t especially care, I was interested in the muscle babe, but I looked for a summary. Namely, she murdered her ex-boyfriend and tried to claim it was self defense. The muscle babe in question was Chelsey Young who was apparently brought to testify because she is an IT Manager for a company that owns a gas station used by Arias.
I tried searching for Chelsey Young on girlswithmuscle.com and to my surprise found absolutely nothing. So basically here’s a link for a Google Image search, and to a youtube video of her court testimony.
Google Image search: Chelsey Young NPC

KeymasterFor some reason the Google Images search link that you provided wasn’t working correctly.
Been fixed! B)

ParticipantHmmm…
She’s definitely cute, but this raises what, to me, is an interesting cultural question. Here in the UK, court proceedings are not televised – there was an experiment a while back with one case, but I’ve not heard of any more such experiments being performed. In fact, cameras of any sort are banned, so, when cases are mentioned on the news, the images produced by court artists are shown. Given that I come from that culture, where court proceedings are viewed as somewhat sacrosanct, the thought of discussing the buffness of a female witness in a murder trial having viewed her witness testimony is somewhat surreal to me, and rather unsettling. Not saying it’s wrong, just that different cultures have different approaches to the same issues.
BTW, for the sake of accuracy, I ought to explain that public judicial enquiries ARE televised; the Leveson Enquiry into phone hacking by News International employees (the European arm of NewsCorp) being a good example, as they are public and deemed to be in the public interest.

KeymasterShe could have just as easily (as many do) dressed to conceal her physique while in so public a setting.
Would have gone otherwise unnoticed, other than by those that might be familiar w/ her NPC background.

I think you might have misinterpreted my meaning, Alex – it isn’t the fact that she chose to reveal her upper arms in court that I was remarking upon, more the fact that it seemed odd and slightly discomforting watching footage of witness testimony in a murder trial.

I got what you were saying. I was just making a side bar comment, one not directed at you.
By the way, I think the phrase that you might be looking for is “inappropriate venue.” 😉
