ParticipantWell, a slightly different type of writing.
The Mission Architecht feature for the game City of Heroes is on their Test Server for Open Beta.
I've written a 5 mission Storyarc called "Amazon-Avatars"
Arc ID number on Test Server is 13567For any City of Heroes players who want to get on Test Server and try it out, it's a story heavy arc, with lots of text from contact and in clues. Also, it used some higher level enemy groups, so best done with higher level characters.
I stayed up all night Monday (until 7 AM Tuesday), so I put quite a few hours into it. I'm pretty happy with it.
and,the custom opponents in the last 2 missions are 8 foot tall females surrounded by their 5 foot tall male minions. (as might be expected from the arc title)
My City of Heroes Forum thread for the Arc

Feedback would be much appreciated from any of my fellow City of Heroes players!

ParticipantWish I had the dough to give CoH/CoV a spin again.
This storyline creator seems like an incredible resource especially for supergroups wishing to build a custom set of rivals.
Thanks for taking the time to manufacture some "holographic simulations" for Rhode or Rogue Islanders to do battle with.
Would love to see any screen caps from the arc that the issue's NDA would allow. 8)

Participantthanks for the supportive words, Black Kusanagi and Cowprobe.
I'll have to see if I can get a few good screenshots, when I get the chance.
It's Open Beta, so NDA no longer an issue.Cowprobe, you are quite right, this fearue is going to be an incredible resource, with all the custom player-made content it's going to generate. This could have a major impact on the entire MMPOG community if it's a success.
I'll let people know when the Mission Architect goes live, and maybe people can get Trial Accounts and check things out.
I had an idea for another arc which would be also kinda Amaz0ns territory. Have a mad scientst supervillainess who starts out as a 4 foot tall (minimum COH height) Mastermind (minion class) with robots doing her fighting.
Defeat her, and next spawn, she used a strength formula, and moved up to a 5 foot tall scrapper with energy guantlets for extra punch. (Engergy Melee scrapper, Leiutenant class)
defeat her again, she takes another dose of the formula, next spawn is a 6 foot tall version of her, and she doesn't need the gauntlets anymore. (Boss class, Martial Arts, so she attacks barehanded)
next dose of the formula, she's 7 feet tall, using Super Strength attack set, and is Elite Boss class
and in the final fight, after the maximum dose of the formula, she's Archvillain class, 8 foot tall (max for City of Heroes in humanoid figures), and has SuperStrength at extreme levels plus a good defense set.
Of course, with each step of "upgrade", move the Physique and Chest-size slider up some step (minimum, 25%, halfway, 75%, maxed)
I should probably write that arc…. if only to play it myself. 🙂

ParticipantMission Architect is now live in City of Heroes.
If any city of Heroes players want to check out "Amazon Avatars", it's arc number 5909.
Also now on the live servers, Arc #6143 "Escalation"
in this arc, in the first mission you encounter a female mad scientist villain who's big thing is being able to jump into clone bodies to fight another day. Since she mass produces them, the clone bodies start a little underdeveloped. After the first mission, when you defeat her, she starts upgrading the physical capabilities of her clones. Each mission she gets bigger, more developed, and stronger.

Thanks, Shag. I may just try the Escalation arc! The only reason I haven't done Amazon Avatars is because my highest level character is 27! =( Ah, well. The first stage was cool…
