    I liked it, but the emperor made a wrong sign. It should be pointed down as opposed to up (put down your weapon).

    Yeah, I know –
    in the Roman era, thumbs down (stick the sword in the sand and standdown, show mercy) was life,
    thumbs up (stick the sword in and kill ’em) was death.

    However, the reverse of that is firmly cemented in the popular cultural mindset, the misconception of which
    was started by the romantics of the Victorian Age in art and literary works – the novel Ben Hur is a good example.
