Any UK members will know that the Mail has a “reputation” for ludicrous stories, and is obseesed with female celebrity’s weight, but they are reporting something decent on the subject for once:

The even weaker sex: Faddy diets and fears that muscles aren’t feminine have left modern women weaker than their grannies

I bet men are weaker too. We drive and use machines to do the work.

I’d expect that to be the case.

Surprisingly civil article for Daily Mail.

I’ve heard this from women many times that they wan’t to work out to get thin and toned — not to get ugly muscles. They simply don’t have the knowledge how weight training affects the body. It’s actually quite sad. Lack of health education in my opinion.

Another one, thought I’d pass it along.

Read it several yrs ago, was an interesting read @ the time.

It can be located on eBay or Amazon.com

I’m doing a distance-learning postgrad course with the Open University here in the UK, one part of which is on the subject of science learning. What the public ought to know about science and how to provide that learning is a big part of it. B)
