Hi guys, I need some help with Daz.
I’m using Daz Studio 2.3. I recently installed some new content packs, but I can’t use them.
How do I use the new content? I can’t find the places they’ve been installed into. I’ve installed a few new models but when I run Daz I still get just the default Victoria model it shipped with.
Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

I’ve managed to finally figure out where the content is and how to make it show, but now I’m finding out that a lot of the stuff doesn’t work together.
i.e. I have Aiko, XinXin (which is, I gather, derived from Aiko), Victoria, She-Freak (you would think it’d be good, but no, no nipples still), and Stephanie.
Only XinXin is even vaguely ok to work with, and most of the stuff doesn’t fit with the XinXin model.
To top it off, I just lost hours of work because my scene won’t save properly, and left only a phantom file in the program menu with no file in the actual folder.
And I need clothes. Like, free clothes. Teenage girls, however muscular, need at least a bikini. They can’t go running around in their panties and nothing else.
Someone lend a hand? Advice on how to actually use this damn program? Or can someone share if they’ve used Blender and whether it works well?

For content help you can download free stuff from Renderocity but you have to join the site (free) and login to see the free stuff. http://www.renderosity.com/http://www.renderosity.com/ Be sure to read help files when it comes to setting up the clothing and be sure it’s modeled for the figure you want to use it on.March 2, 2010 at 12:01 am #90389the fell batParticipantI’m on the verge of just giving up the whole damn idea. 🙁 daz is just too hard to work with, and I read about how it’s badly coded and all.
Thanks for the link, I’ll go check out renderosity.

Its not a bad program, it just takes some money, and time to get good results. Heres a tip before you buy anything make sure that what you buy works in daz or whatever program you have, and that you don’t need anything else to use it. As for the installations, make sure you load em properly. I had a similar problem cos I loaded my files to wrong directory, and once their loaded you still might have to hunt to find em.

A friend of mine has asked me to do some stuff she’d like to see… so yeah. I’m going to try my hand at this again. It’s better now, I have some real basic stuff up, but still no decent clothes because the stuff for V4 just cannot be used for A3 models…!
