I think the subject will sting much less the moment we all realize WW was basically created as a fetish character by a guy that liked bondage and wanted an excuse to draw a constantly tied-or-beating lady. Many times have the authors made her personality and story grow into good comic stuff, but sooner or later she devolves into Star Spangled Stripper…whether we like it or not, she (for the moment?) is part of Comics For Horny Teenagers, and unfortunately her physical appearance will be on top when drawing her. No matter how deep or dramatic they make her stories, there will always be butt shots and a generous display of skin.
It’s a shame, because WW is a true bronze of superheros’ history, and there are many almost one-dimensional superheroines that could easily fulfill the eyecandy role, but that’s what we have.
