    Sorry about starting a new thread, but it was the only way I could answer folks since I can't post to the original "Death in a Museum" thread anymore.

    Thanks for the compliments.

    At this point, I'm not sure where this story is going now. The original concept was just one more part, a final showdown between Lillyia and Cassandra, with Craig caught in the middle.

    Then this whole biological engineering thing came outta left field as I was writing. Now I gotta rethink it all.

    Don't you just hate when that happens?  ;D

    Actually it's usually a great thing when the story explains itself like that.  It almost take on a life of it's own…and, even if you do only have one more chapter to tell, having Craig involved with the bio-engineered would keep him from dropping out of the story.

    Also, if you only have one more chapter that puts a great ending to this already awesome story I wouldn't complain.  I like stories with endings as opposed to the never ending tales…

    How come you can't post in the original thread anymore? It isn't locked, is it?
    I hope you are just talking about the end of this "chapter" and not of the entire story (plot). These two characters have so much to offer, it would be a pity to just bury them.
    Until now, it always had a "happy end" for the one side. I don't want the heroes to die, but it could make it more interesting if you let the bad guys win a battle – at least against some of the second line characters. (For example if they destroy the lab, kill the doc or that other hot vampire that has an eye on the guy.)
    If you give this story a final ending, then it would be hard to revive it again, in case you get some new ideas or inspirations.

    I don't know why I can't post to the original thread anymore. Lingster posted a test message OK, but I just can't. I click reply and get a blank page.

    My original intention was for just one more story concerning Lillyia & Craig, a final showdown piece with Cassandra. Because of the story "writing itself" on this last chapter, I see at least 2 more chapters. Maybe 3.

    I'm a big believer in characters getting a proper beginning, middle and end. So, at some point, Craig and Lillyia will be put to rest.

    No fear, I already have another character in mind for a new series. And she'll be more to the liking of the average Amaz0ns reader. Actually, her first installment may appear before I get L&C figured out.
