ParticipantThe rumor behind McLaren’s departure concerns her plan to make it a Braveheart-style movie while WB wanted a character-driven film. Since we don’t have any production material to judge I can guess it could have worked either way. Wonder Woman’s character hasn’t been modernized enough to sell it and there’s still no great WW story that elevates her to ‘epic’ proportions.

TC2ParticipantBraveheart style would have been way more interesting than anything WB could cook up.
Any company that’s taken this long to green light a female superhero movie is ultimately going to fuck it up.

ParticipantMany other film projects have been in limbo as well. This is nothing new for the Amazon Princess.

ParticipantThere’s also a rumour that McLaren wanted a talking tiger in film. That’s not a problem or me. They have talking gorillas ruling the most advanced city in Africa…I can dig a talking tiger. If anybody made a live-action Vision of Escaflowne we’d get those cool humanoid dogs, like Jajuka!

ParticipantHere are the official costumes in broad daylight (sorry, the image linker is messing with me; if anyone can fix it…I’ll be grateful) :pinch:
I assume the WW’s mannequin is an exact replica of GG’s…even down to her acting skills

It’s tough to be a superhero when 2/3 of your costume cannot be padded.
And the boys:

AlexGKeymasterThe HTML appears correct, but the site you’re linking it from as a insert is probably blocking it
– same as what happens when you attempt to directly insert an image to the forums from AMG-Lite.“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

ParticipantYes, those were the mannequins I was trying to put a link to, but the pictures were close ups. I made a Photobucket account to make life easier 😉 Sadly, I didn’t keep the Supes and Batman ones.

ParticipantThis is off-topic, but does anybody think Lois Lane should be made a supporting character in the Wonder Woman comics? If DC insists on keeping Superman and Wonder Woman a couple then Lois might benefit from being transferred. It’s ironic that Diana is an icon of feminism and sisterhood while other characters now are known for their close friendships. Xena has Gabrielle. Capt. Marvel is BFF with Spider-Woman. Every girl wants to Kitty Pryde’s best friend. Wonder Woman is so iconic but there’s no immediate girlfriend worth mentioning. The change could also benefit her in the same way other characters have been moved around, i.e. Kingping into Daredevil, and Ra’s al Ghul into Arrow – but I don’t mean make Lois an antagonist.
