February 23, 2014 at 7:12 am #119542AlexGKeymasterI still think Gemma Arterton would have made for a far better choice as WW.
But then, that’s just me. đ

Slightly on the shorter side of the spectrum at 5’7″ but very much better than Gal Gadot that’s for sure… here is MY List:
Adrianne Palicki: Sheâs the perfect 30 y/o for the role, sheâs only needs a few protein shakes and the right bra to fill the costume. Sheâs never had a real big role but she has shown potential and she has a variety of experience.
Jenna Elfman: If they want to go the âAffleck Wayâ and cast a more mature WW, She definitely can act. Bulk her up a little and dye her hair, I think she could pull it off.
Leelee Sobieski: Somewhat the same reasons as Adrianne Palicki, except she needs a bit more time in the Gym and a dye job.
Deborah Ann Woll: she has the attitude, the talent⌠The BODY! Just give her the right personal trainer, a dye job and a bit of spray tan.
Tricia Helfer: Like Jenna Elfman age wise, except with a more rugged appearance and less comedic side depending on what the director likes best.
Laura Prepon: She can act, she has a stronger frame so she should turn into quite the amazon if sheâs given the right diet and training. Agewise, sheâs in between… If you want an actress that looks and acts mature enough but who will last for that 6 movies deal, there she is.
Natasha Henstridge: The real questions is âWould I pick her over Tricia Helfer?â Sheâd make a kick ass WW no doubt about it.
Mandy Moore: Itâs the looks, introduce her to the trainer Jessica Biel had for âBlade: Trinityâ and sheâs a total amazon admirerâs wet dream. Her acting on the other handâŚ
Liv Tyler: Also for the looks, she has enough movie acting experience thatâs for sure but I canât shake off the feeling that there is something wrong with her that I canât describe.

As a serious consideration, I don’t think the real world height of the actress playing the character is that much of issue w/ a movie – or w/ the audience for that matter. Afterall, they had Halle Berry @ 5′-5″ portraying the six-foot Storm in the X-Men movies w/o much of any criticism about that factor.

It depends on the role, Storm is not a physically dominant character. Diana on the other hand is and I know they can use camera tricks to make her look Superman at eye level but for action scenes, she won’t be standing on a wooden box and they can’t have a different set of stunt men around her than those who are surrounding Batman.
March 18, 2014 at 2:07 am #119856TC2ParticipantHave you guys not seen Lord of the Rings?
Trust, even for the action scenes they will make Diana appear tall. They’ll either use a stunt double or bring the camera tight or won’t have her on screen at the same time as the other dudes.
It’s not that difficult to make someone look tall, at all.
