ParticipantI think they ruin a woman’s appearance, no matter the current fad. Especially the ones that look like strands of barbed wire. Hats off to the ladies that stay away from tattoos.

KeymasterMight as well say that spray painting graffiti onto a majestic work of artistic sculpture is an improvement.

ParticipantY’know what? I’m somewhat offended by these hugely judgemental comments. Unless it is your body, who are you to be so openly hostile. You don’t care for tattoos on women. Fine. I can get behind that. On the other hand, comparing tattoos to vandalism is outright rude, not to mention wildly inaccurate. While I realize I am bucking the trend, I would say that, in the interest of good taste and reason, maybe y’all- and here I include our moderator- ought to moderate your stance just a bit.

ParticipantA big “NO!!” on tattoos.
Especially on women.
Especially on women bodybuilders. I want to look at muscle, not ink.
I don’t understand why – and this goes for bodybuilders of either gender – someone would go to the trouble and effort to build a magnificently muscular physique, then obscure their hard work with tattoos that fight for the eyes’ attention.

Also, I assume, without yours.
I stated an opinion and a (perhaps blunt) request that people try to not come off like self-righteous bigots. If that’s too much to ask for, well, I guess I can go my own way- as I did in the past when the bickering and general nastiness became too much to deal with- and you can continue to voice your opinions to whatever degree you wish, regardless of the bounds of good taste.
I will note, incidentally, that both Ashlee and DCM have made statements regarding their preference that women not get tattoos that didn’t read as an outright condemnation of the art of tattooing in general. Granted, I think DCM’s comments are still a little extreme, but at least he clarified his position as being his position and not a blanket statement that all tattoos under any circumstances were abhorrent. I can respect that.

I really care what you respect and your perspective. LOL.

ParticipantI find it a bit odd that often when fbb gets thrash in the media, those bad-mouthers get usually called in very low terms. However, like here with tattoos, it’s okay to disrespect their personal choices on what to do with their own skin.

KeymasterJust a reminder, the question that was asked was “Do You Like Tattoos On Women?”
It’s a matter of personal preference, subjective in what you find attractive.
Answer for my part: No.
As for
moderatingself-censoring my option, just because I’m a moderator doesn’t mean that I don’t hold certain options on given subjects. Sometimes, I prefer not to participate. This time I did. That’s my choice. That you want to read more into it – well, that’s not my problem.
