Thanks for the feedback Jack, much appreciated. Here's another attempt at vascularity by a different method:

This is a method where I draw the veins on a blending layer, the other was actually cutting out veins from other images and compositing them.

Probably a bit of overkill, but I'll get better.

Wow!  I love the vascularity on Gina here.  It really adds something to the morph, I think – really emphasises her muscular power.  Very cool effect.  Thanks for sharing this with us, man!

I just found this thread and I have to say that your morphs are among the best I've seen, and your sketches aren't bad either. Making the muscles so mind-blowingly huge while preserving the proportion is no easy feat. I like that your enhancing the veins as well as the muscles. I mean if someone is going to have muscles that huge, they're definitely going to have some veins showing. Just remember that veins are a part of human anatomy just as much as muscles are, and so shouldn't be drawn just anywhere. They also vary in size. Tigersan posted some anatomy pictures a while back, which included a diagram of veins for the arms and legs. Here's the link if you are interested:

Thanks for the comments guys, and thanks for the advice, it is always appreciated.

Reason:

I've been referencing the veins from a basic knowledge of anatomy and some guesswork; also some bits and pieces off photos of the ever-vascular Sharon Robelle (not a great  facial beauty in contest shape, but awesome body; shame you can never get her offseason facial features with her inseason physisque). The link you gave was also a great help, I'll use as many references from those as possible.

Finally, thanks for mentioning the proportion thing: I've seen some morphs about with shrunken heads, and I decided quite early that I didn't want to go that route, but it's been quite difficult to keep everything 'together'. My main breakthrough so far has been in finding the warp tool in the transform palette, but I'm going to have to get into resampling and the pixel side of things if I want the girls to keep getting bigger… I'm beginning to make them too big for the source image.

here's another Gina, this time dedicated to BlackKusanagi: not finished yet, with veins yet to go in properly, I'm going to try and add a ripped look to the muscles as well. Will of course post the final image when I am done with this one.

Not really anything new, just posting the finished product. Happiest so far with the veins of her left leg, they're just looking good.

Striations may have to wait a bit, but I'm certainly aiming for that shredded look; a cross between the heroines of Fonk and Mr. Shhh.
