Yeaaaaa I can’t wait to see her adventures.
Are you going to submite to LHART? Or White lighting comics?
I loved the Muscle growth comic you did for LH art where the 2 little girls, put FMG serum in to the water supply and all the women got big and Muscley in town.Well, thank David Annand for the story; I just did the art. But thanks for the compliments!
If you’re talking about submitting Dyna the Damsel Dynamo to LH-Art… hmmm, I hadn’t thought of that! As for White Lightning, I read their submission guidelines several months ago, and they won’t publish "conventional" super hero(ines). And except that Dyna has a hypermuscular physique, she is pretty much "conventional" (that’s the whole point).
While I’m here, I might as well respond to The Muffin Man:
I agree with your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
Also, link?
I don’t have a newsletter (no time to produce one!), but here are my links:
DCM Studios Online (home page)
Satin Steele – current story: "Contest Jitters" (in progress)
Tetsuko (home page) (comics)
Dyna the Damsel Dynamo! – current story: "Menace in Metal" (in progress)And my update blog where you can find out what’s just been added to the main site. (Speaking of which: if I’m lucky and can devote some time to drawing today, I just might be able to add another page to Tetsuko #2 "Fight! Mighty Muscle Girl" (link NSFW) tonight.

LhArt has been bad in the story art department for a while!!!!June 18, 2005 at 11:26 pm #3713Axel3.14ParticipantI remembered a much overlooked piece of Greek Mythos. The myrmidons were ants that were turned into soldiers. How interesting would it be if they could shift between ant and human forms. of course de rigeur, the ant-soldiers would retain their mymicoid strength factor when they became humanoid
June 21, 2005 at 8:09 am #3714AshleeParticipantHow about a muscley underworld demoness queen, Who wants the belt back.
because the jewels that give it its power was stolden by Cupid and
Mercury , for Muscley Athena, the love her.and she gave the belt to a worthy Human female.
or a 8 year old Girl finds a cave with a magic book speaks the title of the book KazoooooKa, and turns Muscley and taken over by evil spirt.!!LOLJune 21, 2005 at 7:25 pm #3715The_Pimp_NeonBlackParticipantI remembered a much overlooked piece of Greek Mythos. And who would you have control the Myrmidons, der Axel?
Would they be under the control of Ares, another god or a corrupt mortal?
It would make an interesting story to see many powers battle of over them and have Dyna step in to free the Myrmidon Warriors from their bondage.
There origins could either be mystic (entrapped somewhere, waiting for release) or modern (a creation of a genetic experiement by either Ares or some other 3rd party).
And, as genetics would have it, the Myrmidons would all be women because all ants besides the Queen’s drones are female. So, it would fall in line with the preferences of those who follow our dear David’s work.
There is a lot of play with this idea. Thank you for sharing it with us, dear Axel.
Peace

The Pimp NeonBlack[/quote]Interesting! I’d already had a slight outline for a story wherein Dyna battles a colony of giant (human-sized) ants; these ideas could really punch up the story a lot!
Besides, it looks a lot better to say that a story is inspired by Greek myth than by an old episode of Underdog! (I’m serious, the "giant ant" story was originally just a rewritten version of an Underdog story I saw when I was a child. One on one, an ant warrior the size of a man would be a formidable enough opponent; but when Dyna has to fight a thousand or more one after another… well, even her great strength has to give out eventually, as the ants continue to fight, one after another after another after another…)
But the ideas from Axel and Neon will make a much better story!

The "8 year old girl finds a magic book" story has some interesting possibilities, though… Thanks for the ideas, Ashlee!

Human sized warriors come burst out of a colony in the wall. Remember that ant-soldiers would probably tend to use seamless teamwork tactics.

So many great ideas floating around… cramming them all into one story will be difficult. [Idiot! that’s what sequels are for!] Oh yeah.
July 11, 2005 at 5:54 pm #3720The_Pimp_NeonBlackParticipantA question for you, dear David.
Does Ares have a loyal lieutenant or assitant character to aid him in his endevours?
This was earlier disgust with my’s ever-present companion, The Shadow, and, the self proclaimed ‘evil ubernerd’, Raver and Raver said something that struck.
That was: "Every Galvatron needs a Cyclonus".
A lieutentant to step into the fray insteed of his commander, keep order in the ranks and obey to the bitter end.
It might be interesting for Ares to have such a character -maybe fashioned as a Spartan Warrior- to stand betwix him and Dyna when all things are revealed, because it would hardly seem fitting to have a God such as Ares to trouble himself with a mortal the likes of Dyna before he realises her true nature and that of her Divine Patron.
It may be something to consider?
Peace
