August 23, 2006 at 5:48 am #37191iowabeefpackersParticipantIt's sad, they have some really great stuff, but my feelings (and this goes for lh-art too, although they seem to be doing fine ) is that 22 bucks is a LOT to pay for a magazine of limited pagination and production. I guess fetish can't overcome the free market…..

Not so much the free market, as it's just another example of the Internet Affect effecting the world of hard copy. Or in other words, why pay for a magazine catering to your special interests when there is plenty of freely supplied materials to be found on-line.

Hopefully they sned their back catalog somewhere else to keep the stories avaliableAugust 26, 2006 at 7:53 pm #37194JackParticipantI think another factor is that he hasn't gone the LH-Art route and made stuff available online as he didn't trust online stuff. I'm sure a number of people on this site and elsewhere would have bought some downloads and his business would have been much helped rather than harmed by this.
I agree it's a shame, though.

Some definitely look interesting enough to buy, but I'd like to have an idea of what you get for $22.
August 28, 2006 at 10:31 am #37196QuadhouseParticipantThere's about four or five full page illustrations per story in both the illustrated stories and the tit tales. None in special editions. The picture sets are just that: pictures with little text. The magazines have two or three pics per story.
Hope this helps.

To give you the short answer: basically, I got tired of the publishing business. Ironically, it is precisely because I've been in business for ages, as you put it (18 years, actually) that I burned out.
By the way, thanks for being a fan… and that goes for all you fans.
