My opinion having finally saw it, overall the program was better then most, fairly even-handed insofar as balancing the positives of women working out (even bucking societal “norms” and “expectations”) against the segment on the use/misuse/abuse of gear (steroids) in the sport, which was inevitable that they'd bring up the topic.
I could have done without the portion about Muscle Worship Sessions / Lauren Powers. (Been there, done that in other programs.) If they were going to cover the "fringe" elements of the sub-culture I would have preferred to see some intelligent feedback from Awefilms, FemFlex, FTVideo, WPW, MEM, etal interviewed about the subject.
Ditto, on the segment on the upcoming young FBBrs whose names eludes me at the moment. Far and away, some seasoned professionals would have kept my interest about contest prep. Likewise, some (lengthy) feedback from Steve Wennerstrom, among others closely associated with the sport should have been included, and wasn’t – a glaring oversight, IMHO.
The coverage of natural BBing was good, and a rarity in these sorts of documentaries that usually emphasize (for good or ill) the drug-based contests as if they were the only ones out there.
Probably the highlight of the program was the segment about Shelly Beattie – could have been longer, but in general covered in a nutshell the span of career, and learned more about the circumstances surrounding her death then came out in the news at the time it occurred. Was surprised that no where was it mentioned that she was married to John Romano for several years, or that they bothered to interview him for the segment.
In final, I’d rate as worth a one-shot viewing, but not a keeper.
“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

The concensus seems to be that it was better than most, but was close to being very good without actually achieving it.
Lauren's voice still kinda scares me.
