A couple of questions that interest me.

    1) What's your favourite line that you've written for an FMG story/comic?

    2) What's your favourite line from an FMG story/comic that someone else has written?

Just like to collect your thoughts. 8)

    (1) Fave line I've written:

“Please. If you would just hear me out for three minutes— ”

“I'm sure you could convince me in three seconds. So I'm leaving NOW.”

Suzette Termagant and Monty Bank, Power Play.

    (2) Fave someone else has written:

"Here, let me help you take your mind off the pain in your hand… by giving you an all-over, full-body pain!"

Tetsuko, "Fight! Mighty Muscle Girl" by David C. Matthews.

You wouldn't happen to be familiar with Warhammer 40,000 would you?

Heard of it, seen it for sale in the hobby shops, haven't followed up on it.  Why?

(oh, and Termagant was in the thesaurus under the entry for harridan, so that explains that.)

Hmmm, favorite one-liner, can't really say that have one in particular having written so many of them.  But off-the-top of my head this confrontation scene is rather memorable . . .  8)

"Very well, but that still doesn't explain why you attacked Guardian."

"Oh that – she got in my way."

Yolanda swiftly shifted her aim and cracked the blunt end of the forcelance against her dark forehead before returning it to hover over the exposed throat.  Luna spasmed in skull-numbing pain, but held her supine place – it might mean her death to move a hand, even in reflex.

"Watch the smart mouth, not only am I not amused, I'm not impressed, either."

Valkyrie (Yolanda) vs. Luna (Jocastra) – Perchance (2005) by Alexander Germain

“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

Favorite lines out of FMG stuff I've written? Hmm… well, I haven't done a lot of actual FMG. But I had a lot of fun writing Slades' lines for his first "meeting" with Sonya in Tetsuko #1, page 19 (last panel):

Sonya (her mouth gagged): GRRRM MRRMFRGGRRMM SRRMMRRMM GRRMMM![/i]
Winston; She's, ah, having a little trouble expressing how thrilled she is to be in your presence, Mr. Slade!
Slade: And no wonder! Gentlemen, remove those bindings at once! We must treat our guest with the utmost courtesy!

Has that "Bond Villain" vibe to it. "I intend to kill you very painfully later, Mr. Bond, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy your filet mignon."

I think, though, that my favorite line that I've written out of any comic has to be the line in panel 1 of this page of "The Adventures of Dr. Sonya Beta and Beta Max":

"This had better be a dream sequence or someone's in BIG TROUBLE!"

(Sonya Beta being the direct inspiration for Sonya Gannon, as explained here.)

Favorite line from someone else's FMG story? Brrr… have to get back to you on that one…

Bearing in mind that I generally don't write FMG, but prefer, instead, FM-sans-G…

I think my favorite line that I've written was in "Brand New Day"

“We finally discovered something that you just can’t carry,” Jen put in maliciously, “a tune…”

A favorite line that somebody else wrote?  That's harder, for some reason.  I think my favorite, for right now anyways, is the sequence right after Tetsuko tosses deGoff through the wall in Sonya's lab-

"Oh no… I threw him too hard!!  Omigod…  I am so sorry… I didn't mean to wreck the lab, Sonya!!"

    What can I say- I like silliness…
