KeymasterAh yes, The Nation magazine – a left-wing rag so notoriously far to the left that Christopher Hitchens is too conservative for them.
Pardon me, I couldn't help myself, its a Savage reflex thing . . . 8)

I'm left of centre, but I'm not THAT far across! I just thought it was written by an uptight English professor who turns her nose up at anyone who can't use the entire dictionary to write an essay on something, but instead inhabits the physical world more fully than she could ever imagine. She advocates writing rants against misogyny, but when someone actively shows women that they can DO something to improve their lot, and empower themselves, she moves outside of this woman's area of knowledge, and that puts her ill at ease. She therefore does the only thing she can do, which is analyse the **** out of it.

In truth, I vagely remember the article, probably from the AAWA newsgroup. Didn't think much of it at the time.

I know I didn't say that you said I was – I'm saying that I am. Does that make any sense?! ;D
