    This is the concept art (I guess) for the female version of the Barbarian playable character in the just-announced Diablo 3 game:

    Blizzard is getting better at making buff females it seems. Every now and then while I play WOW, I go to Nagrand and just look around. Anyone else who plays knows why 🙂

    artist "Brom" who was one of the first to incorporate
    muscular females in his art way back in the late 80s.

    True.  Brom started immediately with Neera, the female barbarian from the Dark Sun AD&D world of TSR, who was pretty muscular and menacing.  Most of the denizens of the Dark Sun world were pretty muscular and savage as I recall.

    The pic has a Brom feel to it but it doesn't have the hard lines of his usuall stuff. brom was one of my favorite D&D artists. nearly all of his pictures of woman have them well muscled and I just loved the pic that he did of a minotaur walking out of a misty maze with his axe ready to strike.

    Heh, now when I go over to my friends house and they are playing Diablo games on their LAN, I might actually join in after 3 comes out…

    You should play anyway. Both the Amazon and Rogue were/are badass. 🙂
