So…
http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/09/22/woman.mystery.bulking/index.html?hpt=C1
Quick summary: 40 year old woman suddenly experiences uncontrolled muscle growth. Unlike the brawna version I might write, she experiences serious side effects.
It’s not lupus.

In the updated version of the article I read, it said they discovered that it was a virus that normally attacks internal organs, but it was attacking her muscles, but they don’t have a plan to cure it yet.
It must be excruciating to not be able to lift your arms high enough to turn down a collar or touch your ear lobes. She can’t even go for a walk.
September 23, 2010 at 11:06 am #95682SammiChungParticipantthis is the stuff…that science fictioneers/fetishists dream of, an actual ‘disease’ that does the opposite of wasting away… >.> somebody in the Black Ops section of (the Biowarfare dept, I mean, ahem) the CDC. is looking into this for…a cure (I mean to use it to create those supersoldiers they’ve always wanted)
September 23, 2010 at 3:00 pm #95685Trash BoatParticipantThis reminded me that I saw a woman who had most likely acromegaly some time ago in the bus. She left the same stop as I and I couldn’t help staring at her for a short time.
She was trying to hide herself with large hooded collar but still she was clearly standing out of the crowd with the biggest head I’ve ever seen, hands probably bigger than mine and unusual bone structure. I felt sorry for her as she was obviously ashamed of her appearance and her walking looked quite painful. Life can be a bitch.

It’s a MEDICAL STORY, obviously the woman wasn’t going to be hot nor was it going to be a literal FMG transformation that happens in mere seconds.
so instead of coming into a thread stating your opinion, why don’t you learn how to keep quiet and mind your own business and let other people discuss amongst themselves.
September 23, 2010 at 9:03 pm #95689Solarian, aka LordDarothParticipantI can and will share my opinion.
CNN or not, the story is bullshit.
‘muscle started growing on me without a reason’
And the medical ‘explanation’ didn’t convince me. Mass media and junk food news.
Usually I just ignore crap like this, but this is different. I don’t know why.
Just because.

September 23, 2010 at 9:42 pm #95691BlackKusanagiParticipantRarely some medical conditions dont need a reason. They just happen. :/
