This made me spit wine through my nose:
http://www.dailygut.com/?i=2670
It's a reference to this:
"I do believe that it was the first time in history that fire has ever melted steel," {Rosie} O'Donnell said when questioned on whether she thought the government was behind the collapse of WTC 7. "I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center tower 7, which collapsed in on itself — it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved. Miraculously, the first time in history steel was melted by fire," she said.
May 2, 2007 at 8:45 am #51340foureyesParticipantThis is part of what got Rosie fired (oh, sorry, I mean unable to negotiate a new contract) with The View. The only reasons for her to spout this conspiracy theory nonsense are 1) ratings (probable) 2) rampant ignorance (Very probable) or 3) certifiable, lock-her-up-in-a-rubber-room, insanity (reasonably assumable).
I never thought she had all that much going for her to begin with, now she has even less.May 2, 2007 at 8:53 am #51341LingsterKeymasterShe's getting offers all over the place. Apparently treason pays.

Wait, she betrayed her country and gave military secrets or important information to the enemy?
Or is being a conspiracy theorist who distrusts a government that's done nothing to gain our trust suddenly one of the highest crimes in the country?
May 2, 2007 at 3:43 pm #51343AlexGKeymasterHmmm, I don't think you meant to say treason, her behavior doesn't meet the standards for it – sedition on the other hand, it seems to be a common affliction of the radical left these days.
“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

I was not actually making a criminal charge, rather I was putting her behavior in the broad category of traitorousness. Still, I stand corrected.
And her behavior rises to the level of traitorous, Muffin Man, because she is spreading a vicious lie meant to undermine the legitimacy of her own government.
I found this new site pretty amusing: http://www.429truth.com/

Neither side is free of it's loonies.
I promise to base my opinions on right-wingers around a more sane right winger if you promise to base your opinions on left-wingers on Jon Stewart 😛

It's still within her freedom of speech. That is what makes this country great. I can call my president a clueless twat all day long and I'm free to say it.
Likewise, you're free to call me a blithering idiot and YOU'RE free to do so.May 3, 2007 at 3:45 pm #51346ScottGParticipantEven though I tend to lean towards the Left, and I do agree that she was well within her rights to say what she wants (even at the risk of revealing herself to be a babbling radical left-wing idiot) I still say people like her need to just be dragged into the middle of Baghdad and left to fend for themselves. Take Hillary and Bill O'Reily as well. Anyone that can't make level headed conversation and conclusions, is apparently not smarter than a fifth grader and should not be allowed to speak in public.
May 3, 2007 at 5:35 pm #51347LingsterKeymasterMy point is that people can say traitorous things about the United States that ought to result in being shunned, but instead get them job offers.
May 4, 2007 at 1:13 am #51348cpbell0033944ParticipantI'll agree that Lingster was wrong to call it treason, but certainly it was in poor taste to say what she said. My main concern though, is that her education wasn't sufficient to tell her that a raging fire is plenty hot enough to melt steel. 😮
