I was recalling a special program that aired on PBS that was about the dangers of mixing drugs. The main character was a night watchman called Luther Bentley who mixed his cold medication with a prescription he was taking and ended up in the hospital; it was a full dramatization with a cast of actors that was specifically created for the above purpose. The story centred on Bentley’s recovery from his reaction to the combined medication, but in one scene his unconscious roommate who had been hospitalized for mixing illegal drugs was briefly seen. The reason Bentley’s case may have been given more priority than his roommate’s was probably that accidental mixings of non-illegal drugs was more common at that time (around 1988).

:S I was hoping to enter “Floppy Shoes” into the 80s TV Commercials database at the website of the same name, but I haven’t been able to find it again yet. What’s happened to it?

The show could also have been called “Rubber Shoes,” but I can’t remember for sure. I’m hoping somebody else here at Amaz0ns.com also remembers having seen it and can tell me the accurate title.
