I always have writers block. Reading about writing here as well as other places i feel creativly stifled as if i don't have the right to write. That rhymed! yeah anyway I think I'm done. See you guys around!

I frequently come up against slow-downs in my writing.  Usually it's because I have a scene in mind but I can't think of a logical or reasonable way to get the characters to the point where the scene can happen.

What sometimes works for me is to actually write down a description of the scene I want to write, then work backwards to the point my characters are going to be starting from.  I actually got that idea from figuring out different ways to apply specific techniques in self-defenses, but, oddly enough, it works pretty well for writing, too.
