ok, I'm not sur if it's sick or just normal progression of the sport. I mean in most sports if you want to compete at an internationnal level you ha to start when you're a kid…
is it the same for bodybuilding?
I'm not in this for the health issue or the psychological… just the rational. I mean ballet and Gymnastics create tons (well it takes many of them to make a ton) of new young anorexics who have to live with busted joints at 25… and they do train to compete.
I don't see a problem with the rationale, assuming it is something the child wants to do and isn't being pushed into it in order to help a parent's wish-fulfillment. However, I was under the impression that so much weight-training and aerobics could interfere with the physical development of a young child. Certainly if she is dieting and deliberately lowering her water content in order to prepare for shows or exhibitions, that seems unhealthy for a child so young.
