This scene happens right after a commercial break. Before that commercial break, they were normal size. Lack of process aside, it had its moments but nothing spectacular.
July 19, 2012 at 4:28 pm #109105khuddleParticipantJust saw it, and it wasn’t half bad. A lot more muscle shots than “Strong Arms Of Ma” (although
they didn’t have a really big, massively developed female bodybuilder like the cowgirl in “Strong Arms of Ma”). Nice scenes of the girls lifting weights and Leela kissing her own biceps. Some nice comparison shots as well — Leela was much bigger and broader of shoulder than Fry, and Amy absolutely dwarfs Kif (in fact Amy appeared the more muscular and cut of the two women). The girls were depicted as extremely aggressive and domineering, which is always a plus. And definelty a few laugh out loud moments as well — Zoidberg puffing on the carrot, the ship sinking and recovering in the swamp, Bender immediately wanting to smash and pulverize the rare male butterfly. Definetly worth a viewing or two.July 19, 2012 at 8:29 pm #109107Muscle Growth NutParticipantYeah, I thought it was a decent episode. I’m rather interested that Amy seemed to be the more aggressive of the two.

but the concept of the Butterfly Derby under the Luna dome
was lifted from the Heinlein short-story “The Menace from Earth.”As for the rest, the Femuscle portion was better then expected,
and had only modest anti-steroid side-effect jabs in the story line.“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”

Pretty good overall.
Loved the Professor’s line “I love a stalwart female physique as much as the next guy but…”
Missed a great chance to have another appearance by the women from Amazonia. Having one of them be a workout partner for Amy and Leela, or something like that. Or Leela picking a fight with woman from Amazonia in a bar, to show her aggression and overconfidence.
July 21, 2012 at 4:40 am #109146AshleeParticipantIt was a pretty good episode, and the anti-drug message it had, some of the ideas here would made for a even better story , i’m surprise they didn’t not play the popeye theme when the girls were swallowing the nectar.

Yeah, and as I recall they were significantly taller, too. Like Titanesses, rather then Amazons.
Too bad an overall height increase wasn’t also a part of the size gain for Leela and Amy. 🙁
Spotting scene – could be on the bench, or deadlifting, or squatting.
Amazonia Personal Trainer: “Hmm – you short, but strong!” B)
