The discussion about He-Man, She-Ra and Thundercats caused me to recall another animated series from the past –
Gargoyles (Disney) from the mid-90s. Recently started re-watching it on DVD, and yes, it’s slightly dated, but surprisingly the series has held up well, in fact, far better then I anticipated.

One of the things that caught my attention was not how the artists rendered the male characters, which were muscular to one degree or another, especially Goliath, but that they would sneak in instances of Demona at times with muscular upper arms – the contours of the shoulders, biceps and triceps flexing – and then back to more non-overtly muscular relaxed format. Kinda makes you wonder how that got missed, or maybe not.

Couldn’t find any poses w/ her w/ an images search from the series that way,
tho there is fan art with her rendered w/ a femuscular build.

whenever they get around to messing with this franchise
I’m sure the movie studio will make horrible casting choices with crappy CGI and screw over whichever FBBer they use for a model
Just Athena Siganakis was in WarCraft movie a few yrs back

Talking about untapped franchises, I’m surprised that long before now someone hasn’t done an Elfquest animated feature film.

Richard and Wendy Pini practically made a cottage industry out their characters.

Hadn’t looked at ElfQuest books in forever
    Is Wendy Pini still alive?
Vaguely remember some marriage trouble between her & Richard

    My favorite: Silverhawks.
Steelheart was more muscular than all of them

Speaking of another based upon action figure toy line,
and once upon at time rendered by Marvel Comics in the long running series, The Micronauts.

Not to be confused with the trilogy of The Micronauts novels by Gordon M. Williams,
but would also make for interesting movie franchise in their own right.

    Like it should be,..
i’ll just have to see if there’s any like-minded artists in the world
Her armor could be made to look muscular
