The new TV Land show Glenn Martin, DDS is airing an episode featuring strongwomen and FMG. It aired already tonight (Tuesday) (08/18/09) at 8:00 PM but is on again at 1:00 AM. It is also on again on Friday (08/21/09) at 8:30 PM. TV Guide doesn't list it but Nickelodeon's schedule does (since "TV Land" was formerly "Nick @ Nite").
The episode is titled as either "Circus" or "The Grossest Show on Earth".
From Wikipedia:
Glenn brings the family to a circus, hoping to cheer up Conor. While there, Conor discovers a gross talent he never knew he was capable of; Jackie becomes friends with the troupe's strongwoman and Courtney learns to get by without Wendy, who is on vacation.

Regarding the show as a whole, I agree with you. The writing is, well, bad. Characters are two-dimensional and the jokes don't get more than an occasional chuckle. And it has a near continuous laugh track. Which means that they think the jokes are not funny enough to laugh at on their own.
The thing that amazed me was the fact that given how labor-intensive and time-intensive stop motion animation is, that it was allowed to go forward with scripts as bad as these.
However, despite the bad plot and bad jokes I will give it at least some credit for three things:
– The depiction of FMG on a prime time cable show (though with the caveat that it is an episodic sitcom).
– The character that does the growing (Jackie) is depicted as having actual musculature and not just 'generically big'.
– The aforementioned character actually enjoys her growth and new muscles (even though they use the same tired tropes about changes in personality and voice).August 22, 2009 at 7:32 am #86141UnbridledParticipantThere's gonna be a repeat tonight at 11:30 pm eastern time on nickolodeon

Gack! What a waste of storage space. That show sucked, painfully so.
Even a couple of muscular cartoon females couldn't make up for how bad it was. 😛
August 24, 2009 at 6:53 pm #86145The Muffin manParticipantThere was nothing positive, interesting, funny, or intriguing about this episode. If you laughed even once I beseech you to commit yourself as you are clearly insane.
