ParticipantI have no idea where to put this kind of message so for the time being I will put it here. A few minutes ago I realized glhturbo blog was gone. Then I realized his account in this messageboard seems to deleted. I have no account at renderosity so I have no means to know if his account there has also been deleted. So either:
1. Someone stole his passwords and deleted his presence on the community
2. His wife/girlfriend made him leave the community so fast he had no time to say goodbyeIf someone knows something please let me know, maybe I am wrong.

ParticipantHis account at Renderosity is still active, and his last login there was yesterday (6/20).
I did notice he's showing up as "guest" here, don't know what's up with that!

GuestUhh … Sorry, but I'm gone, and this is a throwaway Yahoo account, to be deleted tonight …
I can't prove it is me, but I know it is …
It's #2 … She didn't know anything about any of this, and found out the wrong way. I probably shouldn't even be here now…
Before you slam her, in the past few years I have:
– Run up thousands of $$ in credit card debt on two secret cards (even had the statements mailed to work so she wouldn't find them)
– Spent mucho dollars on eBay, taking from our debit card and playing games and making excuses when the checkbook didn't balance.
– Did the same debit card dance with hundreds of pr0n sites on the Internet.
So, her trust in me is not so high. And when you do gift art, for females, and don't keep an email trail to prove it is innocent friendship, a wife who doesn't trust you has every right to be pissed…
It's not that she had a problem with my buying stuff, or surfing pr0n, or even the renders (well, the non-gift ones), but the fact that I kept it secret, and the fact that I did it to excess, where I was hurting us financially….
And I also blew off her and my kids to spend time on my computer … 😥
Why is she still with me? dunno … I think a commitment to professional help will go a long way to repairing my damage, at least I hope so…
To paraphrase the Gladys Night tune, "I'd rather live in her world, than live without her in mine".
Sorry all … and Bye … it was fun, but I'm done… The Renderosity account is just waiting for an admin to kill it … all the images are gone…. 🙁

Im terribly sorry to hear it. We're going to miss you. I know I am. You were a really fun guy, and you were willing to do things for others without hardly a quibble.

KeymasterShit happens. It's sad, but like he said, he's the author of his own troubles and he needs to make some changes. Nobody should get so hooked on this sort of thing that he (or she) can't function in normal society. And if you are getting so hooked, then you should stop visiting sites like this.
I will also add that Mac's OS X 10.4 browser has a "fast user switching" capability that keeps individual user data private, and Firefox has an automatic cache-sweeping option you can enable to clear your tracks whenever you start it up or shut it down.

ParticipantYikes. Well, that was more information than I was willing to deal with. But yeah, take care. Get back on a good footing, and perhaps when you've gotten rebalanced, then you can find room to fit the fantastical back in. Best of luck.

ParticipantYeah, better to get some professional help first and if all goes well come on back. The wife was loving enough not to leave him so I hope he can get some help for his problems and come back to us when he's better.
