Going to California

    (Not often I can use the title of a Led Zep tune as a subject line, ne?)

    My wife Janet and I are celebrating our 30th anniversary this coming Monday (Aug. 27), and we decided to do it in Los Angeles.  We chose LA fro two reasons: 1) it's a place we've wanted to visit ofr years now, and 2) we now have a friend living there.  Well, we consider him a friend even though we haven't yet met face-to-face.  So this trip will be an opportunity to finally meet him.

    I'll be taking my trusty iBook with me, although I don't know how available the Internet will be.  But if I can get online, I'll certainly be checking in here from time to time.

    And I'll be back Sept. 1.
