As I was watching the latest episode on Saturday (yay for living in the UK) a thought struck me. Has anyone ever written a FMG fanfic based on Doctor Who. It should be very easy to come up with an idea, after all there is the whole of time and space to play about with! Someone should be able to write a story involving a trip to some far planet populated with huge females or with some technology that can grew huge muscles (A six foot muscle bound Rose Tyler, now thereโs a nice image).

I can only channel Doctor Number Nine right now, as I've not seen any full episodes with Doctor Ten. My above statement still stands, though. ๐

Lucky blighter! ๐
I'm in the US & recently saw the finale of the first series (2005).
Yeah, I'd love to see Rose with huge muscles! She's HOT! ๐

June 20, 2006 at 2:24 pm #32929AlexGKeymasterActually, I'm suprised that a FMG storyline hasn't been used yet on The 4400 series, which seems tailor-made as a venue for such a transformation. After all the USA Network Characters Wanted promos even included a female bodybuilder as an example of what they meant . . . ๐
But in answer to your question, several years back on the Everything Grows forum someone (his nick was Davros, if I recall correctly) was posting a Dr Who story (unfinished) with GTS growth as its focus. I don't have a copy of the chapters that he posted, tho, someone else might.
โI like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.โ

Time travelling Gallifreyan badass. Supposedly still at large.

This site is FILLED with great reference from the series long history (pun unintended).

The Rani's pretty much willing to test anything out on anyone. Imagine a being with centuries of experience and no moral qualms. Her ambition for cracking the secrets of the universe and specifically that of living creatures often leads to her defeat. Unlike The Master who wants ULTIMATE POWER over creation the Rani seems satisfied with dominating LIFE.
Gallifreyan's can regenerate and it would be interesting if her most recent life saving metamorphisis came with a few extras. After all if she's squirreled away so much genetic knowledge I imagine she'd proubably upgrade herself eventually. Or possibly even worse she'd make innocent physical clones of herself to test the augments out on.
A colony filled with all sorts of enhanced permutations of the Rani. None of them intended to eclipse her intelligence lest they turn on her but nature finds a way..
This could lead to the Doctor finding many different apparent mutant Gallifreyan ladies throughout the timestream. What would be the mystery is why they all seem to be gentically related, beyond just being the same species, and how they survived the Time War.
Especially disturbing if the Rani hadn't been clued in on the destruction of her homeworld. The Doctor revealing this might actually change her behavior but possibly for the worse. She'd now be driven to recast her lost people in her image! A comon enough theme in the series with all sorts of galactic nutjobs wanting immortality through duplication.
Davros, Sonataran and the Cybermen for instance. If you were to look at this from a dramatic angle the real test of the Doctor's resolve would be if he's willing to let his species die out or donate his biology to the Rani's science for repopulation. Also for any companions in his travels the fruits of a world of superficially 'perfect' beings might lead to paranoia or great insecurity.
Since the Gallifreyan's are somehow tied to the forces of entropy and casual time in the universe what effect wpould a massive localised resurgence of their biomatter have on reality at large?
What would be the ultimate fate of these twisted 'sisters' if salvageable the Doctor would spare no effort in helping them find new lives some place throughout Time And Relative Dimensions In Space.
Well that's all from me at the moment but setting a FMG/BE/GTS/whatever story in the Doctor Who fiction does have potential.
After all it's fantasy with the science of consequences, ask all the secondary and tertiary characters that die during an average episode. ๐
Cool post Highlander thanks for bringing this up.

Now I've finished my last story, I think I'm gonna take a crack at this. ๐
Wish me luck? ๐ฎ
August 13, 2006 at 8:15 am #32933CowprobeParticipantI suggest looking up the Dr.Who Confidentials. Those half hour programs gave the entire series a very comprehensive and amazingly respectful overview while not being so serious that they overlooked the occasional cheese.
Can't wait to see what you have in mind.
"Jellybaby?" ;D
EDIT
Interesting look at how everything could stack.
