From one David to another (there are several Davids on this forum!), Great Picture!

I love it! ^_^, and I think it'd be safe to say that we'd all like to see more whenever possible! Thanks very much!

Thanks much for the compliments! I do in fact have another on the way, but it takes time for me to churn 'em out because I'm not sure of the "right" way to color and shade. I'm sure there's an easier way than the puttering around with palettes and then trying to smoothe it in without smudging the ink-lines that I've been doing… once I get a better idea of layers and the retouch functions, I'll go faster.

Right now, I'm working entirely on my knowledge of paper drawing and colored pencils, which doesn't entirely translate over to a Wacom tablet. 🙂

But I've scanned another in now, and am already doodling a couple more… the floodgates seem to be open!

Well, I'm not going to say that this is the way to color in the computer, but it's the method I use, and I'm given to believe I get pretty good results with it.

Whew! Well, the momentum of the first drawing carried me into the second! So, without farther ado, I present Emmy again in a slightly more formal setting. I also made an attempt to show her flexing her left quad and tricep… dunno if I pulled it off, or just made her look asymmetrical. Shadows are darker and skin tone was changed to try to fit the background more…and I got a little crazy with the highlights. She almost looks oiled… not that there's anything wrong with that! 👿

Also, I'm becoming a big fan of the Smudge option. Great for taking the edge off those shadows and highlights!

Again, comments and criticisms welcome! Especially in regards to the first one; is there anything I seem to be doing better this time out? Worse?

Hmm… airbrush might work, too. Plus, actually making use of layers might make things easier… outside of making one layer to "ink" the piece and paste it to a fresh sheet, I have wound up just "coloring in" the pic. Too much time doing it the old-fashioned way, I guess! 😀

Also: Your work is AWESOME, Mister Matthews. Just so you know. 😆

I simply LOVE how tight you make those dresses my man, the muscles that are overflowing out of them are stupendous.

A visual delight.  The essence of the short cute bisho is not marred by the impressive muscles.
