how do you post a picture?

    How do you post a picture?  I have an imagine saved on my pictures and want to add it to a post.  When I hit the Insert image icon I get this img with brackets thing "" 
    On other forums when I hit similar buttons it asks me to choose from which file I want the information to be posted before posting it, kinda like when you attach a doc to an email.

    Okay, I'm a noob.  Can you help me out, anyways? :-

    If you upload something to imageshack, you can host whatever (non-porn) there. http://www.imageshack.us Also it gives you a code for thumbnails you just copy and paste here.

    If you click 'additional options' at the bottom of the reply box, there's also an option to 'attach' an image, which uploads it to Amaz0ns.

    He won't have that option because he has so few posts.  (Not just everybody gets to attach a photo – it's a privilege to be earned with time and involvement.)  Kenny, you need to upload it to a photo sharing site and then embed the photo URL between the IMG tags.
