I think it was January or something…anyhow, it was pointed out to me that I've never done any girls with ponytails (or longish hair at all, for the most part as short hair is my forte), so here we go. Remember Reiko from awhile back? Well, here's the second of the (fictional) animemuscle.com girls, Yurika. 😀
Yurika Yamato is probably her own worst enemy; her natural hyperactivity combined with a somewhat oxygenated cranial cavity leads her to usually underestimate her own strength. There's a smart girl inside that massive physique somewhere (she's a college sophomore, after all), but you'd be hard pressed to find her engaged in any moments of brilliance outside off-campus. While helpful under most circumstances, watch out when she gets panicky or startled, as her tendency to overreact will almost certainly result in a new doorway in the wall or a sudden surplus of automotive parts in the driveway. Effervescent and overly cheerful to a fault, she doesn't seem the kind that would be focused enough to develop a body as immense as hers, and indeed she's not. Truth of the matter is that her body is a result of a magical amulet that grants its user tremendous power and strength when called upon, but no sooner had she activated the amulet's powers when the sudden surprise of the transformation caused her to lose the trinket down a sewer grate. With the amulet lost and having no way to revert back to her usual self, she's learning how to deal with the tough issues of how to cover astronomical grocery bills on a coffee house wage and not being able to buy any cute outfits off-the-rack. Still, the thrill of being able to help ordinary people in extraordinary ways as well as attracting the attention of everyone who passes her way seems to be a balance she's managing fairly well…at least until the next monster attack or alien invasion.

April 17, 2006 at 1:38 pm #26627Dr.OttoParticipantThanks. 😀 I tend to develop characters based on concept first, as it makes it easier to create the visuals that way.
April 17, 2006 at 2:26 pm #26628JimmyDimplesParticipantPonytails/longish hair, eh? For a second or two, I thought it was a bunnygirl, to compliment the anthros from Cats and Dogs. Especially with the belly button ring.
Marvelous all the same. =^_^=

April 17, 2006 at 5:57 pm #26631The_Pimp_NeonBlackParticipantA very nice picture, dear Christopher, and a most wonderful character synopsis.
Thank you for taking time away from the Polymer City Chronicles to furnish us with a seperate and wonderful new creation.
Kudos unto you.
I's also hope that your Health is of the Returning and that you shall be ready for the demands that this new character will obviously bring.
May your Muse always shine most bright.
Peace

April 17, 2006 at 11:13 pm #26633Debido-SanParticipantAwesome, Otto!
<_< when I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a girl with easter bunny ears…
Anyways lol, great job! I think since I've gotten into coloring I'll give her a try some time soon, and I'm pretty sure like a lot of your others, KtM will be too! I hope I can do half as well as him, with no colors to go off of lol…
