That’s a pretty strong sentiment. I don’t think all of us lurkers are stupid, its just maybe we’re not familiar with board etiquette. So for the list of us above that have happily agreed to sign on and stay signed on, good times 🙂

But, on the other hand, I perfectly understand how you feel, like others I guess (AlexG, Elee, Ashlee or Black K to name a few) :dry:

I must admit that as far as I’m concerned I don’t read (and implicitely, contribute ) as much as I’d like. :unsure:
I have only a few hours a week available to connect, and posting a few comics scans and updates in the Superheroine thread are taking most of this time.
Hell, I have 9 pages now of unread topics… :blush: So, I’m ashamed to confess that except for the Superheroine thread and the My Discussions, I’m skipping most of the contents of the forum.

Well, as a former member of lurkers anonymous, I can say that initially I was kinda shying away from signing in because this site seemed(to me) like only a select group of people basically did all the posting and that some weren’t as welcome to be open on the site as others. This feeling does still linger so while I AM signing in a lot more of the time now, I also wanted to leave a reason why I’ll continue to lurk.

I can only add to what others have said, by saying the first person you have to please is yourself.

In general artists (and writers, too) in our lit’l community don’t create their original works for other people, they create for the love of it in-and-of itself. That you might be generous enough to share sayz more about you then those that only lurk and leech without even so much as an acknowledgement of your efforts.

So, if you enjoy it for yourself, don’t let others too timid to say thank you ruin it for you.

Mistaricsta said it best. I just don’t have the time it takes to hit all the sites I’d like to and log in to comment. I DO, however, log in on the ones that I manage to find time to peruse, like this one, even if it is every other month or so…
