it's all Fett's fault
😀September 25, 2007 at 7:29 pm #61030Deadly PixxxieParticipantJessica Biel?
Are you kidding me??!!!
NO! NO NO NO NO NO NO!
I'm probably gonna start a war here, but I don't care.
Wonder Woman is NOT supposed to be ripped. She's supposed to be TONED and ravishingly beautiful, not buff like She-Hulk.
Jessica Biel is just all wrong for Wonder Woman. All wrong. She's too young looking, her mouth isn't right and…..NO!
I want Kate Beckinsale to play Wonder Woman. Tom Welling, oh he's gonna take Christopher Reeve's place as Superman. It is written and foretold. Ryan Reynolds would make a GREAT Wally West. As for Batman, they don't really need him around…just…hints that he's around. I'd much rather have Green Arrow around than Batman. We'd need a Martian Manhunter, a Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner or Hal Jordan….no Guy Gardner), a Black Canary, a Hawkman, an Atom and a Zatanna (I nominate Mimi for Zatanna….and not because I wanna see her in fishnets).
September 25, 2007 at 9:03 pm #61031ScottGParticipantWell, you won't start a war DP but you might face some stiff (no pun intended) opposition. I would definitely agree with Mimi's suggestion that Katherine McPhee with 20 more lbs and 6 mos of Gym time would work, but I would require that also of your keeping with Kate Beckinsale. WW is an Amazon Princess and that is what this place is all about. There needs to be definite and visible muscle on any woman that portrays her.
September 25, 2007 at 9:21 pm #61032Agent HighmaxParticipantJessica Biel just doesn't seem right for the role to me, Kate Beckinsale really doesn't either. I think she'd make a cute Zatanna though. WW wasn't, as far as I remember, ripped, but she was NOT skinny. The main thing that I remember is that she was quite tall. I have no idea who they should get but I'm comfortable with the fact that the casting won't be perfect.

September 25, 2007 at 10:14 pm #61034Deadly PixxxieParticipantOk, did I not say that WW was TONED….not buff???
Yeesh.
Do I have pull out all my WW stuff?
I will, if I have to.
September 25, 2007 at 10:26 pm #61035cpbell0033944Participant, but many of us here would love to see it. I know that you're not into the bufness side of things, but, if you look in the art threads here devoted to WW, you'll find that she is interpreted in many different ways. Some see her as a tall, beautiful beanpole with twig arms, some as a woman with 18" biceps, and all shades in between. Yes, original WW material shows her looking like a 1500 metre runner, but that was before women really started bufing-up. Times change, opinions move on, if you cannot bear the thought of WW having noticeable muscles then I respectfully suggest you stick with Lynda's version.

It actually depends on witch artist and editor gets a hold of her. I've seen quite a few comics that she could have walked onto a bodybuilding stage and placed rather well. It's also a matter of personal opinion and I happen to think that Jessica would be awesome for the role.
September 25, 2007 at 10:36 pm #61037Deadly PixxxieParticipantDP…I'm sorry, I like you lots, but please do not utter that dreadful "T" word (toned). >:( That word is used by anti-femuscle people to describe either skinny-fat girls or those who think that lifting 3 pound weights every day for a year is both daringly unfeminine and risky because it migt just make them look like Ronnie Coleman.
OK, JOG ON, BAWBAG. Pogue ni mahone. Seriously.
I'm TONED and damn proud of it.
Beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes.
Now I'm fucking pissed.
September 25, 2007 at 11:06 pm #61038Len GellerParticipantSince when does WW have to be buffed not ripped? There aren't any authorities on this. And by
the way, numerouis depictions of WW by different artists do show her as ripped. It's a matter
of taste and preference, in other words purely subjective, and there's simply no good reason
for WW not to be ripped. Just because Lynda Carter showed no muscle is no reason why
a new WW has to be the same. -
