So, you’re not interested in what actual bodybuilders or those otherwise involved in the sport think of the subject.

Who would have thought . . . maybe next time I come across something that’s relevant to the discussion I’ll just keep it to myself.

I agree somewhat with Ashlee. Quoting a part of the first line in the article, “Her highly muscled body”. What highly muscled body??? She’s a cream puff! It takes years to develop that kind of muscle to be a bodybuilder. Maybe they meant figure competition? Certainly not bodybuilding. And those tattoos!! :X

For those who think tattoo’s accentuate the body buff, I don’t think I could handle it, and I’m not even in the sport. But I think every cut of the muscle should be seen for the beauty that the good Lord gave us to show the potential of the human body. Tattoos and body piercings just detract from the statement these folks are trying to make. Besides I don’t like needles

Agreed! I don’t understand the “appeal” of tattoos anyway, but especially on bodybuilders: why go to the trouble of developing your muscles to that degree if you’re just going to hide them behind ugly tattoos?

All it takes is one look at Melody Spetko’s tattoo’s to realize how they DON’T accentuate the muscles but distract from them.

Actually, I will detract partially what I said. The tats, in themselves, are artistic. The tats on her look like quality work. But as is being said by Roadblock1 and DCM, they distract from the whole muscle show for me. 🙁

Yes supposly lives in jordan , and in area where women are treated lower than camels, and are killed for just converting From Islam, whiped for showing there hair, stoned or imprisoned because they surived a rape attack.
yet she as no fear of tatooing the body and displaying her face.

I think you need to check your geography mate, she’s from Jordan not Saudi Arabia. Not all countries in the middle east are the same.

I think this is an excellent story of determination to succeed despite the odds, and I hope she does very well.

Tats can be fine , if they’re artfully done. But of all the pics you could have on your arm, why in the world would you choose something as ugly as the Joker’s face?
