    This.

    Translation:

    Yes, it’s a bicep.

…but it’s not really a big one or an actual muscular one.

That’s just a girl with very low body fat and very puny for a bicep in this forum. Compared to say Kelly Ripa who has actual muscles and works out or Elizabeth Shue.[/quote]

Hmm, I thought it was quite obvious what he was saying.

If it had been obvious I would not have needed to ask for clarification. Just because 2 friends can have abbreviated conversation does not mean you can expect anyone else to decipher your meaning when you do not bother with basic grammar.

    Translation:

    Yes, it’s a bicep.

Ok, so stating the anatomically obvious… continue.

…but it’s not really a big one or an actual muscular one.

Out of context, this is true. But in context, I posted this thread in the Fandom & Nerd Stuff section. At no point did I draw comparisons between Kate and the fbbs normally discussed in the Female Athletes & Muscular Women section*. My comparison was Kate before training for fight scenes and after. For that actress, it is a very distinct increase of muscle. Particularly considering that her training was not directed at building muscle size, but at learning fight choreography.

That’s just a girl with very low body fat and very puny for a bicep in this forum.

Low body fat, yes. Small for this forum? Generally. Little to no muscle development (as implied)? Untrue.

Here are some photos to illustrate my point for me. I took 3 screen captures of Kate flexing. I adjusted the contrast and brightness where needed to help visibility. On the images that I overlaid Kate’s arm, I scaled and rotated Kate’s arm to match that of the subject in the photo. No image manipulation, enhancement, or reduction was done to Kate’s arm or to any of the pictured subjects.

3 captures of Kate’s arm alone

A woman’s arm with low body fat and small undeveloped bicep

A woman’s arm with low body fat and small developed bicep

A rather well recognised photo of Avril Lavigne who shares body type with Kate Bosworth

Compared to say Kelly Ripa who has actual muscles and works out or Elizabeth Shue.

    Compared to Kelly Ripa

    Compared to Elizabeth Shue

Due to body type and limb length, it is nearly impossible to scale Kate’s arm properly next to the pictured subjects. But what we are looking for is comparative muscle size, tone, and definition (leanness).

Since Kate’s development came from fight choreography training and not weight training with the specific objective of building muscle size or strength we see that Kate’s triceps are disproportionate in development to her bicep. Comparing Kate’s bicep alone however (her bicep being the subject of the thread), we see that not only is it better developed than we have seen before on Kate, it is equal to or better than the subjects pictured for comparison including Kelly Ripa and Elizabeth Shue. Shue’s arm has far less definition and appears larger due to padding from higher body fat. Shue’s arm is larger due to both body type and tricep development. Ripa’s arm has better tricep development, but like Shue, both lift weights.

*Now for that astrisk reference. I posted a cropped animation in the “Who is” thread and even bumped it with a comment intended to draw out comments disputing the pictured arm development. No one said anything.

This forum exists not simply to talk about female muscle at the pinnacle of size, strength, and development, but to share in our multitudes of appreciation for it large and small (literally).

While you (TC2) and Smitty are entitled to your opinions, you are choosing to present what you say as fact without the bother of backing it up with cited reference when instead you should be taking ownership of your opinions by stating them as opinion.

I know you (TC2) watch the “Who is” thread often enough that while I do not know for a fact that you saw either of the 2 planted posts I made there, I know it is a strong possibility. If you did indeed see it, you had ample opportunity to object there.

I knew when I posted the update, that you (TC2) would most likely reply with a disparagement. But why? What purpose does it serve? Is it because you do not like Kate Bosworth? Or is it something else? It took me a great deal of time to create the clip and animation. Why do you feel the need to effectively devalue the contribution I am making to the community? So you don’t like Kate Bosworth… perhaps you don’t like me. Well just say that. Or better yet, how about following the basic etiquette of when you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

If it isn’t a dislike of Kate Bosworth, or of me, then the only purpose I have ever seen for unprovoked negative remarks are when someone is trolling or flame baiting.

As long as you have been a member of the femuscle community, as often as you have had something of value to contribute, why now are you steeped in negativity for it’s own sake?

It occurred to me that Optical illusion experiment with my Couple Girl 02 is a far preferable example of interactions between us. I see no reason why this should not be the tone off all interactions between members of this community. We each can be bull headed and stand our grounds. We both can be civil and diplomatic. And we both are perfectly capable of friendly interaction.

Should you not feel up to it, treat it like a smile: fake it till its real.

Hmm, unrelated sidebar: too bad smiles don’t share that trait with female orgasms… fake it till its real honey! (My tongue needs a rest… from talking  )

It was taken at the movie set of Piranha 3D. It came out last year I think.

I did a Google image search with the phrase “Elizabeth Shue bicep“. The image came from: http://fridaycat13.blogspot.com/2010/09/its-spelled-piranha-not-pirahna.html

    Here is the original image.

On a separate note. To my amusement, 5 of the comparison images I created for this thread now show up using that search term.
