Tennis star, Anna Kournikova, is not returning to “The Biggest Loser” after one season as a trainer. Former show trainer, Kim Lyons, has spoken out about it, saying she was not right for the show.
I pretty much agree with that assessment, even though I haven’t watched the show since Kim left it. How can a tennis star be a trainer for overweight people? Kim has been working on promoting good health and exercise since she left the show.

My friend, you’re thinking with logic, and not where ratings = revenue stream via advertisers.
For a network producer(s) it works this way . . .
Anna Kournikova = Pretty face, good-looking female athlete (translation not overtly muscular and therefore acceptable to the mainstream) and most of all name recognition by the sports watching public (or at least a segment of it).
Oblivious to the fact that just because she’s an athlete doesn’t automatically equate that she’s is qualified to be a personal trainer. However, when have facts ever gotten in the way of (a seemingly) good thing?

~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)
