Rampage was a John Byrne character from when he took over the Superman book to Give Sups a new history and de-power him a bit. She has been drawn as Byrne drew her very tall and muscular ( my personal fave) or unfortunatly just a tall leggy babe. Last time I saw her she was making appearances in Starman but that was a few years ago.

Any ideas how to expand -aggh pun the pain!!- her story options any? So far she’s a GREAT support character. Smart and able to lend a sympathetic ear to new superbeings because she herself is ‘different’ sort of like if Doc Miora from X-Men was a mutant. Should she be more proactive?
I’d really love if the writers ever had her experiment with how far she could take her transformation and still look ‘normal’ so much as not having a mohawk and a thickly muscled forehead. It would be interesting if she chose this intermediate ‘pumped up’ state as a third persona. I mean another foot of height tanned skin and reddish hair would be a great disguise as long as she doesn’t go stepping onto downed electrical lines or play patty-cake with the Parisite. 😮

I used to wonder about that, too. Why would she turn the juice all the way down? Why not add just a little bit of power to the mix?
August 5, 2004 at 11:27 am #10156AnonymousGuestMy humble opinion:
She just wants to live a normal life, at her normal size and weight. She does not want to use her powers at all, but will not waste them if a situation arises that she can help with. The body she has lived with for her entire life has completely changed and is a strange new place with some frighting new rules and all she wants is to go back to normal, which is impossible for now.

She was huge and muscular and had a real nasty attitude. When she became a hero (at least in the writer & artist’s eyes) she was drawn as a tall, skinny orange-skinned mohawk woman as in the Starman series.
In Supergirl (the last appearance I believe) she wasn’t drawn half-bad although Gary Frank did not do her face justice.
I would love to see a hybrid version of Kitty/Rampage. I don’t understand why she doesn’t do this as working at Star Labs can be very dangerous. Although one should not piss off Kitty too much as she does have a tendency to fly off the handle and transform into Rampage. 😉

Actually, Rampage has made several recent appearances in the Superman titles, the most recent being the crossover with Mr.Majestic of Wildstorm Comics. And nowadays the artists draw Rampage the way I like her; Big Muscles, Big Mohawk. (Although they can’t seem to make up their minds about Kitty; One minute a leggy knockout and in her most recent appearance, FAT! )
I think Rampage has the potential to be good ultility hero, like She Hulk. In fact I’d like to see her be a part of Birds Of Prey. Think of the contrast with the Bird Babes and Rampage. She’s as smart (or smarter) than Oracle and her connection with S.T.A.R Labs would be good for any ass kicking Tech they might need. This would also help with Rampage’s training. Her fighting skills are terrible. She’s the "Worf" of the DCU. ( In the early "Next Generation" seasons, Worf always got the shit kicked out of him, just to show what a badass, the aliens were. Even the Ferengi man!!)

~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)July 28, 2005 at 7:56 am #10161CowprobeParticipantShe's a BIG fave of mine as well.
Started a thread about her a couple of forum pages back

Any ideas on how to get her involved in DC outside of just being a Superman supporting character?
Love to see the Adam Warren version of Kitty Faulkner especially since he seems to be a 'Smart Superbabe' fan himself. He wrote the Gen 13 series and focused a lot on Fairchild in it. His new Live Wire series may have Stemcell, the cute glasses wearing mecha gal, get quite uber as well.
EDIT-Changed the url link to it's erquivalent in the new Amaz0ns forums.
