Laila Ali is competing on "Dancing with the Stars", on Mondays, with result shows on Tuesdays, at 8pm PST in Southern California on Channel 7, KABC (Available nationally on ABC network, check your local listings). The season premiere was March 19, 2007.
"Dancing with the Stars" is the show where B- and C-list celebrities train and compete with professionally-trained dancers and instructors in the ballroom style. (I don't consider a championship-winning boxer a B-C-list celebrity, but alas…I don't pick the…others.)
At 5' 10" (1.8 m), 166 lbs. (75 kg), the gorgeous Ali will be competing wearing a selection of ballroom dresses that will at least show off her muscular, if not ripped arms. I anticipate some Muhammad Ali-influenced bravado and attitude–with a ballroom appropriate smile, of course. (Ali is the boxing great's daughter.)
The second episode of the season will be broadcast Monday, March 26, 2007.
